Wow????Fantastic Hidden Gem???? in East Chicago Indiana, while at Gary’s FBO I needed a fast quick bite! It’s Memorial Day I called a few places most were closed, but Taqueria Mi Jalisco answered on the first ring, so I headed over and what a fantastic amazing experience the food is amazing tasty & fresh ????
We usually order the birria cheesy taco dinner online (always delicious) but today we decided to dine in and the experience was amazing, the customer service was top tier definitely worth coming back for the server was the best I’ve seen! Cindy will get you together her recommendations are on point and hit every time. We will be making this a stop whenever in EC!!!
The server was bad. I noticed the menu said prices are subject to change without notice but how am I supposed to know the prices if the server doesn’t even know herself? Educated your servers or update your menu, it’s that easy. I told her the avocado sauce on the side for the fries with steak and she brought them with the sauce on it -_-. She didn’t bring the food out all together and I had to eat my food first in front of my bf. I don’t know why the food didn’t all came out at once. The fries with steak came out like 15 minutes after we got our entrees? At that point we were almost done with our food and lowkey didn’t really want it. And again, she didn’t put the sauce on the side. I ordered the quesabirria And asked for a ToGo container and she said they didn’t have any? I then asked her for a ToGo drink cup and she said no. How do y’all do the quesabirria ToGo then? All the dumb server did was give me an aluminum foil to cover it. Bad service but the food was decent, I’d come again but the server was just very ignorant and ruined it. When I asked her about the prices and why she didn’t inform us about the price changes all she said was “I’m sorry I didn’t know.” How do you work here and don’t know? Bad experience. I still tipped cause I myself am a server.
I've been coming here for 4 years. You guys have to try there pastor tacos. And taqueria mi jalisco never misses. And there Customer service when you go ask for Cindy she's the best.
Yeah! Best Mexican food, better than anything I’ve had in Chicago… what I liked was the LA tacos, carne asada and al pastor both! ????????????????
The birria tacos & consomé were good but lacked a bit of seasoning/ flavor. Iv had birria tacos at other places where the tacos were so much more flavorful! Also, my whole meal cost 16$ & all I got was the birria tacos + small horchata which to me was a bit pricey considering that’s all I got.
Food is SO good here! Do not sleep on this place.
The customer service here is impeccable! This was my first time experiencing authentic Birria tacos and omg!!! I’m obsessed and I’ll be back tomorrow!!!
