$2.25 tacos & agua Fresca $3
Good tacos and nicely packaged. I like how it’s not greasy. fresh meat but not much flavor but with sauce and lemon it’s great!
I recommend the cabeza & asada.
Friendly staff????
Quick basic eats. Picnic table style eating. Had street tacos and got 4. It was the perfect amount. Red salsa is good.
I've been a loyal customer at this taqueria for quite some time, making it a must-stop every time I'm in Southern California. However, in my recent visits, I've noticed that the tacos have become just okay, and they don't seem as special as they used to be. The portions have become quite small, and considering the price, it doesn't feel worth it anymore. While the asada and cabeza used to be my favorites here, they didn't quite meet my expectations during my last visit. It's a bit disappointing. No public restrooms at this taqueria.
Update:
Went back to see if the taste was consistent, it was and wasn’t. Some meats were as good as last time (pastor, asada) and others were worse (carnitas) but the best meat IMO is the asada and that’s not saying much. Won’t be going back for a while.
My family has been in the taco business in Mexico City for decades. This taco place was the best in the early 90s, and it went downhill around late 2000s. I just recently tried them again and they were pretty good. Will come back because I want to see if the taste is consistent. No they don't come anywhere close to Mexico City tacos or my family's tacos for that matter. For a quick bite and nostalgia they were good. Will update when I visit again.
Tho you gotta be mindful of what you order. The menu is simple but. They are very stingy on their sauce, so look out. On your plate or burrito is 1 and half hotel spoon. Ask on the side is $.50 cents to some people, it's free. I saw them do so. Beside that, their food is good. Kinda of pricey. it opens late and is good for people. I got the munch or got out of clubs late, and this place is the one.
NEW CUSTOMERS are expected to know their menu???? very rushed staff. Average tasting tacos, average price, controlled sauce/condiments, half filled DRINKS???? (cause of the rush) NO CUSTOMER BATHROOMS to wash hands, Open late. ????????
The absolute best authentic street tacos I have ever had. I rated the atmosphere in the middle because they have limited seating inside and it is small. The food and service have always been great.
It is a casual place but I like it.
