Ok I use to go the original on 26th kedzie in the 80s 90s it was fantastic. Then over the years they fell off just was not hitting right stop going for years. I decided to go in for the shrimp tacos wow they are amazing. And order a pozole it was incredible also piping hot with flavor. Definitely will be coming back to the Pilsen location
I visited this taqueria on my last day in Chicago and I wish I would’ve tried it sooner. We tried another highly rated taco shop that was located in the back of a supermarket and we were super disappointed and underwhelmed with those tacos.
I almost wrote off all Chicago tacos after our first experience but I’m glad I gave taqueria Los comales a chance, the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. We got a ton of tacos and they were all absolutely delicious. The aguas Frescas we’re all super refreshing and tasty. I would recommend trying this place!
As a New Mexican, I can proudly say that this is a Very Good restaurant. Excellent food, great environment, and you will leave satiated for around $8 a person. I love this place.

They serve authentic Mexican street food, fresh and hot! Tacos are stuffed with your choice of protein. Nothing too fancy, but simple is best for any authentic street tacos.
All other main dishes are worth getting too.
Not to mention the prices for these dishes, probably one of the cheapest tacos and Mexican cuisines you can get around this area. Bonus for them opening until late hours!
The barria tacos was so delicious. Good customer service. Everything I ordered was prepared fresh and hot. I’m really in love with this place. I will definitely be returning back for more food on the menu. Highly recommended.

Food was amazing. I orderd 2 Milanesa Tacos, 2 alpastor tacos and rice and beans. It was very busy but the server helped us immmediately
Party of 2 stopped in on a Saturday early evening, almost all tables were occupied. We ordered the quesabirria with consomme and pork burrito dinner to go. Waited about 12 minutes. The waitress brought the to go bag over then we paid. There was constant movement of the waitresses, so those who dined in should have had good service. They were out of verde tamales, so I didn't order any. Food was delicious and will be back!
