First time at this restaurant. My food was excellent. I had the torta de jamon. The crusty bread was very soft. Along with the ham, melted cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato and mayo I added the mild green salsa. I was so happy. My husband had a burrito with pork. It was huge and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be back.
The food is edible, but not great. The chicken burrito is very smokey and the steak sandwich is more like ground up hamburger with nothing more than meat and cheese. I expected peppers and onions or some kind of vegetable in it. The rice and beans were under salted and flavorless. At least they give salt packets. Their menu is small, but efficient. The waitress was decent and the place is extremely clean! Water and soda are by the bottle or can, and expensive, but they do offer a cup with ice if you want it. It's not really a restaurant, it's a take out place and all the food is served in "to go" containers. There was nobody there, which was nice, but I would not go back. I doubt it will stay in business unless they change the food.
This has to be my hands-down, favorite taco place in all of downriver. The staff are absolutely amazing and the food is even better. They make your food very quick and it comes out perfect every time. Very authentic feel and a great place to eat at a very cheap price! Would definitely recommend.
Intimate, cozy and great food for a very reasonable price. My husband ordered the sandwich and I was SO impressed. We are used to the Mexican food in California, which is very hard to beat but this place is extremely delicious for downriver. And love the fact that it is a newer build owned by a family!
Absolutely delicious! Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had hands down. The steak torta and burrito were wonderful, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier! Please go here and support local business and have a fantastic meal!
Came here for lunch because of the reviews but sorry to say we were disappointed. We got the steak tacos and the steak had the consistency of pencil erasers. It only came with some chopped onions and cilantro, you need to order guac, salsa, sour cream as an extra. The chicken burrito was better but again very tiny pieces of chicken that were over cooked. The rice was dry and everything had no seasoning.
Excellent food and service. The flavors are spot on. The campechano torta was especially wonderfu - fresh bread, flavorful filling, and very generously portioned. The guacamole was chopped roughly which gave it an interesting texture. For only $3, you can get a tremendous shredded chicken chimichanga - don’t miss that.
This place has some good tacos. The taco meat (steak) wasn’t dry and it had some of the best flavor around. They’re price at $1.95 each so that’s in line with other restaurants and taco trucks in southwest Detroit. We chose to dine in. Not a lot of seating but there wasn’t anyone dining in besides us. So there wasn’t a wait. Food came out fast and was served in to go boxes which is sanitary and makes a quick cleanup for the waitress/hostess. She was super nice by the way. I recommend this place for some amazing tacos. Especially for us downriver folks who don’t want to drive all the way to Detroit for some good tacos.
