Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant hands down. We came from North Carolina to Virginia Beach to try this place out and was well worth it. Fresh food with great taste.
The staff at this restaurant were cheerful and friendly, and the food was delicious. The place was bustling with people. I definitely want to go back again.
Comfortable booths and not too crowded. The decor is upbeat and not tacky like some of the others. They have a full bar and an extensive menu including a vegetarian section. So really this place is good for anyone with eating restrictions. All the food was delicious. The taquitos are huge and full of flavor. They only come in chicken. My boyfriend got the taco birria and he was more than satisfied. I got Mai Tai- it was so strong I couldn’t not drink it but other than that, everything was mouth watering. The staff was quick and attentive and the food arrived hot. The restaurant is not as big as we all wish it could be so you may end up with a wait. The parking can be difficult if the place is busy. Highly recommend.
I checked out this place on cinco de mayo. It was fairly packed. They had a phenomenal DJ, nice drink specials and some good meals.
The only downside with a crowded place is the slow service and getting your check.
Overall nice spot, delicious food, and good drinks.
NEW FAVORITE SPOT!! Birria tacos and birria ramen YUM My to-go order was ready within 8 mins! Amazing! So fast I got there late so food was cold but still good. Sauces were ????????????!! I even had the option of ordering sides of onion and cilantro! Both green sauces were good!! The creamy one kinda started turning bad in my car but thats my bad-If kept in fridge itd prolly be alright! Even the WHITE sauce was amazing and I usually dont eat it! I was licking the container!!! ???????????? Go hereeeee!!!
An unplanned dinner stop for us turned out to be the best food and drinks we've had in a while. High recommend. It was very busy but the service and food were awesome.

Parking lot is big and it's easy to find parking. The parking lot itself is well lit and clean. The restaurant is well lit and very clean as well.
Super friendly atmosphere and the staff is always happy to greet you! Carlos has become my favourite waiter and is always awesome!! Jose is also one of my faves he can tell you about anything on the menu and always has good suggestions if you want to try something new!!
I've had a lot of their menu. The first time I went it was to try the Birria and it did not disappoint. From the homemade tortilla shells to the homemade pico, the slow roasted carnitas. Everything is delicious at this place. I will put a few recommendations at the bottom of my review. There are chips and salsa is amazing and if you have to have the white dip they do in fact offer it! My drink of choice is always Horchata unless it's been a long day or girls night, then of course I've got to get their margaritas which are also amazing!
This will continue to remain my number one spot for if you want to try out authentic Mexican I'll leave a list below with you. Different things you can try that are delicious!!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Taqueria La Patrona. Busy and Simple, but yet a great dining atmosphere. The fajitas for 2 we ordered was delicious and plenty enough for another mouth. Staff was friendly, helpful, and consistently checking. We met Alberto and he was very responsive to our needs. Great place, great food, and great atmosphere! Will return soon.
