Blown away by how they have such great reviews based on my experience. I would rate them 1 star if I could. There were two hairs in my food (pictured) and when I called to let the restaurant know and ask for a refund, the “owner” has a terrible attitude and got defensive. He claimed they could not confirm if the hair came from their restaurant or if it got into my food on my drive back home. I ordered the gringa which is a quesadilla. So essentially they are claiming that I somehow opened the packages and bagged food, opened my quesadilla, and had two black hairs fall into it while I was driving home. When I started to eat the food I took two bites and on the third bite is when a long black hair came out. I opened the quesadilla and found another black hair mixed in. Their attitude about this situation blew me away, this is no way to run a business or treat customers. They were highly recommended by a family member and they lost all of mine and their respect and business. They wanted to give me a $10 refund on a $50 bill while myself and two others could not even finish our meals because of how disgusted we were. Horrible business etiquette.
An amazing authentic family owned and run Mexican eatery. My favorite Mexican place in Lawrence, the flavor is real in every dish. Served hot and as ordered there is a bit of wait but you can't rush quality and it is worth it!
Ordered delivery. Got 2 Asada tacos and a green chile chicken tamale. The tamale was fine. A little dry, but good. But the tacos were terrible. Barley any meat, onions, or cilantro. The meat that was on the Tacos were almost all fat. It tasted and looked like all the worst parts of cheap, low quality ground beef. Flavorless and gray. Won't be coming back and would recommend you save your time and money. There are easily better places in town.
A superb taqueria! Service was very quick and polite. Tried the tacos: carne asada, birria, and chicken. All were delicious. The entrées are under $10. There’s outdoor seating and also some parking in the back.
Decent food, served very quickly. Waitstaff were a bit rude.
Very clean. Food was good but not great. Waitress was VERY nice.
No signage on wether to seat myself or wait. Finally got someone to tell me to sit anywhere. Had to wait for a menu. No one asked me what I wanted to drink. Waited a LONG time and had to flag someone down to get my order. NOT busy in restaurant. Used the bathroom. Toilet did NOT flush. When I got my food I didn’t get any utensils.
Food was good and reasonably priced. Not as tasty as a burrito from most taco trucks in KC nor do they have things like limes or onion on the side.
What I would like to see:
1.) clear signage on whether I sit or wait
2.) To be waited on in a timely manner
3.) Working men’s toilet.
4.) punch that flavor up

I’m so happy this place opened up. The Birria burrito was so delicious, I was more than happy to finish my wife’s once she got full! Hope the foot traffic stays steady cause eating their food out on their patio will be so fun this summer!
I’ve been here twice now and will be back many times in the near future. The food is delicious - the chicken is especially perfect. It’s grilled, not shredded. The green salsa is AMAZING. The portions are on the smaller side but it’s worth it.
