I need to come back for a follow up review and I might change a couple aspects of my review.
The food was good. The price of the food could have been a little better for what we got. But otherwise no complaints. They were a little busy, so the review on service could be changed as I don't know their situation. Everyone was friendly.
We had no issues with this location, just marked it for how we thought they earned for that particular day. I will still be back!
Homemade tortillas??? Yes please! The suadero meat is amazing and not a typical meat one can find around here. A modest little place in the back of the grocery store so don't expect glitz and glam but authentic, great food that is totally gringo friendly.
This is a true hidden jem . The food is AMAZING.. The people are so nice and helpful. I try and go there twice a week. I LOVE this place

I've been told that the best Mexican food can be found in the back of Mexican grocery stores and I found this to be true at La Mexicana #2. Now, I'm not Mexican nor have I traveled to any Latin American countries so I can't say that the food is authentic or make any such claim but I do know good food when I see it and taste it and it was delicious. The decor is simple, just roughly 9 small booths and two tables and a TV on the wall on the Univision channel along with several colorful paintings on the wall depicting traditional Mexican life. There are a couple of refrigerators filled with Mexican bottled pop as well as regular offerings. I ordered a large quesadilla with Al Pastor along with tomatoes, sour cream and onion. I was given the option to have it made with a freshly made tortilla which I had and I'm glad that I did. They also provided chips and red and green salsa in squeeze bottles. The chips were delicious and the salsas had a nice smoky flavor to them. I received my quesadilla in about 5 minutes. It was huge! The flavors were very good and the fresh tortilla was delicious. The one thing I was thinking could be better would be to provide salsa in a dish to dip my chips into. I have been in places before where the chips and salsa have been presented the same way. I prefer the dish compared to directly squeezing it on each chip. This of course is a minor suggestion. The meal was great and very satisfying. I will definitely stop in again when I'm in the mood for Mexican food and happen to be in the area.
This food is delicious and homemade. The homemade tortillas are amazing ordered chips and guacamole and she made completely fresh right in front and it was the best guacamole I've ever had. Nachos are delicious and I had bean tacos and shopped at the store got myself all the flavors of juvo De Coco coconut milk and they were good!
tried each of the amazing beef cuts for tacos in their taqueria. perfectly done. didnt go early enough for the homemade tortillas yet with flavors this authentic i will be back soon for mine! have a good butchery selection and i made the seasoned chicken today. both kinds were excellent. cant wait to share. plenty of options in the grocery as well. very pleased!!!
Do not be fooled by the shabby exterior of the building, the food here is amazing! And the staff is very polite and quick with their service. I highly recommend for a Mexican eating experience.
