So Gross I got the chicken enchiladas and I don’t know what type of green sauce that it was but it taste like butt literally. The rice tasted funky like a smoky burnt taste. I’m not sure how to put the taste into words but it was disgusting not worth the price at all avoid if u can be careful not to get sick other people have stated that also.
I called in and ordered 3 tacos of beef tongue with beans and sour cream today for lunch. When I got there, they only accept cash. The tacos were so plain, no sauce nor flavor and very dry. The customer service was also very dry and unwelcoming. I literally saw some whole tacos on a nearby grass uneaten that someone left- now I can see why. DO NOT COME HERE, eat elsewhere such as Maya Palenque for nearby Mexican food. Not real Mexican food, nor friendly service.
I liked the Nachos Maria with chorizo. Very good, not amazing. Good price and the 1 guy was on the ball with doing it all

I don’t recommend this place at all.
First time here and I saw how filthy the kitchen is. Nothing is cleaned. The cook uses the same gloves he handles food to handle cash. Another customer came in and he didn’t switch gloves started cooking handling meat after giving me my order & change.
All the picture prices are wrong. Everything is a few dollars more expensive as of this review.
I ordered two tortas Cubana and the steak wasn’t even edible. Super tough to chew not tenderized or cut. The chips where burnt and soaked in grease. Total I wasted was $34 including 2 drinks. Not worth the price at all.
Kinda odd reviews are months old.
Please go somewhere else to eat.

Best bean burrito in town!! Whenever I try a new place I always go for the bean and cheese first. Hands down best in Novato. And the green salsa is amazing and don’t get me started on the authenticity of the chips too. This man makes everything and it’s perfect. Keep doing what you’re doing! Thank you!
I ate here once -- the server/cook was friendly and I noticed he practiced good hygiene washing the cooking surface in between making my steak burrito and the seafood item before it. He also washed his hands. Yet, when I got the burrito, it had a fishy taste. I haven't returned but I at least appreciate the hygienic effort and furthermore did not get sick.
Got a burrito with carnitas and it was really bad. Watched the guy make it since the kitchen is right behind the register and he made it before taking my money... he spooned ladles of watery beans and salsa in but no rice to absorb any of the liquid. The end result was a tiny , soggy, and gross burrito. The meat was not tasty and there wasn't much of it, and after a few bites I called it inedible and tossed it.
I didn't get sick, but I noticed that he didn't wash his hands between using them on the meat and using them on the rest of the kitchen or taking my money. He seemed really pissed that we were there so late, even though it was over an hour until they closed.
This was my second visit to this place, having disliked it the first time a few years ago, but I was willing to give it another chance since it's close by. I won't be going back... I'd rather drive a couple exits away and get a delicious and huge burrito for the same price than walk here and be disappointed.
