Best WLM Reviews

This place should be shut down . I went here and spent 50 dollars on 6 wanna be steak tacos and a torta ...... tell me why I saw this man take out the fridge pre-cooked meat . While ordering, I asked for onions and clitro on my tacos...... got lettuce and tomatoes and a lime . Meat tasted old and gross . There is too much meat tenderizer on that stuff . Slasa water and tasted awful . ???? the torta just toss it for 9.99 . Save ur money and go somewhere else . 3.99 a taco for salty Gross old meat . Best place in waukegan , my behide wrost place . Just a gross experience.
The food is amazing, the dining is spacious, and the prices are pretty good too! My favorite thing to order is a gordita de asada and it's just AMAZING. The salsas are spicy enough to not interrupt with the overall flavor and the employees are so nice????
This joint has been around for years. It's a reason they are still in business... they are one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Waukegan!
Always clean, always flavorful, always serving up great portions.
This has been one of my "go-to" spots for over 20 years.
I would say I would put El Paraiso as one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, If not my favorite. Food is very delicious and freshly cooked, I had a torta de milanesa, which was very good and a burrito al pastor which was also very good. I definitely recommend this restaurant ????
Kudos to the cooks here. The burritos are AMAZING. The sauces could be better, maybe. Their red sauce is like leftover table salsa - watery & not much taste. The verde sauce on the other hand, has a good flavor to it. One things for sure: you wont find a better joint after midnight.
Friendly staff, and the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Illinois. Made me feel like I was back home
I gotta know how 2 burritos and 2 sides small of rice come out to $34!? Complete rip off if you ask me. I've been to other el paraiso locations, not sure if they're related or not but at most I've spent there for 2 burritos and 4 sides of rice is $29.
First time and my last time here. Thought I would give this place a shot since I pass this restaurant during the week to take my son to school and I now regret coming by here. I ordered a torta dinner with a mini taco. The taco was for my daughter and she could barely eat it because the chicken was too dry. My torta on the other hand with steak was over cooked like they’ve been re using the same meat for days. The rice tasted like it sat in a freezer just to be re heated and the beans barely had any flavor like they added water to it because it was drying up and got super watery that you would not expect it to be all over your food when you bring it home to enjoy. Way too over priced for poor quality food! Don’t waste your time and money here!
