Burrito King is a hidden gem located just off Main St. In downtown Salinas.
I'm so happy to have found it this morning while looking for a place to get a bite to eat. And I might have walked right past had it not been for the sign on Main to advertise for the restaurant down the walkway. I ordered the breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes and cheese and it was both delicious and filling.
I also brought horchata back to the office for my office manager. She loves it.
Note: I got in and out with my to-go order in about 5 minutes at 11am.
The staff was so friendly! Really made us feel welcome.
The vegetarian burrito was good. The tortilla on it was AMAZING. So thick and flavorful.

Love their food and service???? I go every week! Great Chile Relleno! Shrimp tostadas, etc. lots of class for a little hole in the wall place! There food has great flavors! Pleasant outdoor seating too!
According to their take out menu, they close at 3pm on Saturday. According to the times posted at their business, they close at 2pm on Saturday. Got their at 1:35pm and was refused service because they said that were closed. Door still open and people are still inside eating. Cleaning is done after business hours posted not before. Wasted my time coming here today.
Great little place. Burritos, tacos, soups, everything you can expect from a Mexican restaurant, but done as good as it gets. I enjoyed the Chile Colorado plate and was not disappointed. Service was friendly, restaurant was clean. Will come back here again!
Hidden gem with generous portions at a great price. My first time here and I had an asada taco with homemade corn tortillas and breakfast burrito. I didnt except the amount of food that was given!
