Super tasty and friendly staff.
My food had a hair in it. I had pre-ordered my food on the phone and they gave me a timeline for when it was going to be done a specific time as I got there I still had to wait another 20 minutes. The order wasn't even right to top it all off.

Worst place I ever ate. Asked for over easy eggs w potatoes and coffee. Got hard burnt eggs, french fries, instant coffee, tortillas good I asked for butter got a whole stick of butter on plate. Never never again.
Definitely the best quesadilla I ever bought. I’m from Texas where is a lot of Mexican restaurants but you quesadilla hit the bomb ???? Hope come back soon to get loaded in Gonzales
The portions are reasonable as are the prices.
I must admit the food does bring my grandmother’s cooking to mind.
Keep in mind that this is NOT a place to take your date.
This is strictly a working man’s joint.
It has the ambiance of a poverty stricken Mexican grandmother’s kitchen.
Which is not bad, just not a place to impress a girlfriend.
So if you take a date, warn her beforehand, this is a Mexican Blue Plate diner.
Although the staff is friendly, service is extremely poor.
No exaggeration, you may literally walk in, sit down, and wait a half hour before anyone in the kitchen notices you’ve arrived.
If you’re not fluent in Spanish, you’ll have trouble communicating with most of the staff.
The staff will bring your order, disappear, and not return… ever.
There are no salt or pepper shakers on the tables.
Order coffee and you’ll likely receive powdered creamer.
The coffee is horrible.
I would like to enjoy two beers with my meal.
That doesn’t often happen.
Why?
Because they bring your order, disappear, and do not return.
Also, the food is inconsistent.
Most of the time, the food is quite good, flavorful.
Often times, it’s a bit too salty.
If you drop in, try their Chile Verde or Tortas.
COME AND ENJOY AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. JUST LIKE MOMS COOKING EVERYDAY.
HOME MADE CORN TORTILLAS WITH MOST ORDERS. FRIENDLY SERVICE AND THE CORN QUESADILLAS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Homestyle mexical food. Amazing quesadillas (get it with the tortilla de maiz). Service can be a bit slow depending on staffing but well worth the wait! Hand made tortillas are awesome.
