Drove by earlier in the day, decided to try it out and I’m SO glad I did. The food was fresh, authentic, well seasoned, and delicious. We tried 3 dishes and they were all very good. I really enjoyed the Mojarra. It’s a family owned business which I admire & appreciate; there was a slight language barrier when I ordered but that made the experience all the more charming. They’re not pumping out that “Americanized south of the border, elevated Taco Bell” cuisine, this food tastes like the real deal. I’ll definitely be back.
Walked in looked ok. Bathroom is ment for a kid. Our server couldn't understand us very well and we couldn't understand her. Had issues ordering our food. My husband got the Ranchero Special and tried to tell her what he wanted. Steak, chicken, shrimp, and vegetables. It only had steak and rice and cheese. He had to struggle to get vegetables. I ordered the dish that had beef on fries with cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, onions, guacamole. I asked for no guacamole and no onions. Well first she brought the wrong order then when she brought my order it had onions and the meat tasted bad. Also the salsa and cheese dip tasted off. Over all we WONT be going back.
So I ordered the Carne asada fries but I added grilled onions and jalapenos. They were so good. I ordered a side of cacti and it was a little too slimy for me. I wish they would have cooked it a little longer and sliced it a little thinner but the flavor was fine. The salsa tastes more like ketchup to me. I wasn't a fan. Beside those two issue the food was perfect. My husband got 4 different types of tacos and they were all very good. It was nice to see such a large selection of options with the tacos. You usually only see steak, chicken, or shrimp. There were at least 10 options. We will definitely be back.
This place is often overlooked because it is tucked in a little plaza but it is by far one of the best hidden gems of Jacksonville. The food here is unbelievably delicious and very reasonably priced. My personal favorite is the beef enchiladas, by my fourth bite my eyes will roll back from foodgasms ;)
I ALWAYS order tacos from here when i don't feel like cooking. Yesterday I ordered 25 chicken tacos. I NEED A MANAGER OR OWNER TO CONTACT ME PLEASE.
See the pics- not one of my tortillas were cooked/ fried. They were soft and mushy.
I ended up half way cooking the tacos myself. ????????
Careless. I know your business takes pride in the food and always treats the customers well. SOMEONE is making you look bad. When I called today at 3pm to ask for manager, the girl said there was no manager at the moment. I explained, and her response was that it's because I live so far that my tacos were mushy...
IF THEY HAD OF BEEN COOKED, THEY DON'T GET MUSHY. I am latina... I've had your tacos a minimum of once a month. They were careless, and didn't care.

This was my 1st time here. Loved this place!!! Good selection of meats. I ordered their tacos. PERFECT!!! My husband had their nachos. Perfect amounts of everything for his nachos. I had a strawberry margarita that was perfect. Our waiter was wonderful!!! I will definitely be back again. Loved all of our food!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Great traditional atmosphere! They have a great variety of affordable tacos, too! The salsa is a bit of a miss, but the chips are hardy. Great lunch spot!
Came here for my daughter's 14th birthday. She wanted Mexican food and we've not been here before.
Place was pretty busy.
Very under staffed it seemed. Took forever for our order to be taken.
No refills on chips or salsa and we paid for cheese dip. Dip went to waste because we couldn't get more chips. The food was good when it arrived but took a little while.
All I can really say is the food was good , maybe the best quesadilla I've ever had.
Daughter loved her chicken and rice with cheese dip.
Service is terrible , probably worst I've seen in any Mexican restaurant. Took probably 20 minutes to check out.
If they had more staff or better service it'd be great.
Most likely won't be back.
