Food and service was amazing!! Biggest portions I've had in a while. You could definitely share a few of the menu items. Definitely come hungry
Delicious food! Affordable. Generous portions, I mean it's Huge! The meal came with complimentary chips and salsa. Cash Only!Nothing fancy, recommended!
Huge portions at very reasonable prices. The food and the service are great. This place is cash only but you will not be disappointed. GIANT PORTIONS! ????
"Taqueria Amigo Chino offers an authentic Mexican culinary experience that is hard to come by. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere envelops you in warmth, akin to a cozy Mexican home. The menu is an exciting palette of traditional flavors and contemporary twists, offering everything from succulent tacos to hearty burritos. The star of the show, for me, was the Al Pastor tacos—perfectly marinated pork topped with finely chopped onions and a slice of pineapple. The salsa bar is a delightful addition, offering a range of homemade salsas that elevate each dish to a new level. Service was prompt and the staff made excellent recommendations. Overall, Taqueria Amigo Chino is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor genuine Mexican cuisine at its best.
I was very pleased after eating here. I learned about this place through a Facebook reel. I had to go and try one of their jumbo tortas or jumbo burritos. I opted for the latter.
When it came out I thought to myself "I got this!". Boy was I mistaken. Halfway through I threw in the towel. Biggest burrito I've ever seen. I blame it on the basket of chips and salsa they brought out to accompany my meal. Those are my weakness. I polished off the entire basket! ????
The burrito was very flavorful. Hefty too. Plenty of meat. I ordered the steak burrito. Next time I will have to try their jumbo torta.
The salsa selection was ok. They didn't have any tomatillo salsa which is my favorite on burritos. They brought out three different salsas which seemed to be mild, spicy, and hot. All were good, but I've had better.
The service was friendly. My server had a smile at all times. The other server there was a bit more serious. Focused on her work more than the people. It was late so maybe she was just tired. ????????
The location is on the smaller side, but I found a table right away as it was late in the evening when I went. There is a cash only sign, but the server informed me they do accept credit cards. There was no extra fee to my knowledge, at least it didn't itemize it on the receipt. They also say there will be a charge of $1 for a to go box. They simply brought me some foil and a bag at no extra charge. Parking could be challenging as it's street parking on a busy street. I had to circle around once and found a spot within a very short walking distance to the restaurant.
Overall, I was very pleased with my meal and will visit again next time I'm in Chicago. Definitely have to go back to try their jumbo torta next time. Enjoy!
Very delicious food with some extra large items in the menu.
Very nice experience, not fine dining but good dining. Had the red snapper... delicious... brought the burrito home. Some loved it. Portions are so big... you will definitely have a take home bag.
Food was ok. When the worker took my order I told her 1 burritos and 1 burrito dinner, she brought me 2 dinners and end up charging me for their mistake. When I go to pay never give me the receipt and when my wife ask for it we noticed that they charge me 11:99 to sit there + an extra 1:50 for containers to go that didn’t give it to me until I ask lol. From 59 that was the food I ended up paying almost 80 dollars. Never again go and eat there.
