Authentic Mexican food in Cocoa, wow, it came with free chips that were hot and fresh. The al pastor and chicken tacos had lots of flavor, plenty of fresh cilantro and onion, good prices. Good service too
(New owners, worse experience) Place is extremely overpriced for the food that your get. The waiter is very hard of hearing and charged me for a combo meal when I wanted a kids meal after repeated times asking her specifically only about kids meals. Also if you want a refund good luck getting all of it back. They make you may for downgraded meal and then refund you your previous order but in suck a way that you somehow ended up paying more at the end even with your “refund. Kids to full combo meals aren’t anymore bigger and for double the price????. Coming back to try again and maybe chance eating but very poor service all the way thru.
The service was great, we loved the cozy small seating attached to the grocery store. The food, just ok, maybe we set our expectations too high but the Plato De Caritas was a bit of a let down. The plate was huge, lots of pork, however it was very bland, it hurt didn't have any flavor and it was dry and greasy and a little over cooked which made alot of it crunchy. The beans were too thin and creamy . All were generous portions, could have had a little more Pico. The chicken tacos were good no issues and good flavor with alot of meat. One last thing, the salsa that came with the chips and salsa was ok, good flavor but kind thin, no chunks. All that said some people might like it this way and give it 5 stars...just not me. Hope this helps

I enjoyed my tacos (al pastor and steak). Taco plate comes with beans and rice. They also have the classic red and green sauces.
Place was clean and the staff was friendly.

Taqueria is Cocoa's best-kept-secret, authentic, Mexican restaurant (and conveniently located right across the street from the EFSC Cocoa Campus!). While some Tex-Mex offerings are clearly labeled on the menu, the majority of their cuisine focuses on traditional fare. With three full pages of entrees and small plates to choose from, you're sure to find something for everyone in your party to enjoy. (I did not note any vegetable or vegan options on the menu, however, so I recommend checking out their entrees before dining here if this is a concern.)
I chose Enchiladas Verdes for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. The amount I got was excellent quality for the money! Four enchiladas with a helping of Mexican fried rice and beans (plus unlimited salsa and chips!). I ended up asking for a take-home box! It warmed up great the next day.
Everyone I encountered in the restaurant spoke Spanish with some English. Even though I am a native English speaker, however, I had no trouble ordering or communicating my requests. My waitress provided attentive service and accommodations to my party's needs throughout the experience.
The interior is filled with living music and chatter, and the restaurant links to a small indoor market, which provides an array of meats, vegetables, snacks, and fresh-made baked goods.
Everyone at my table enjoyed the dining experience. Fans of Mexican cuisine must check out Taqueria. It will also cater to anyone looking for an authentic experience.
Best Mexican food in Cocoa. We had the 3 taco platter with Carnitas, Pastor and Pollo. All 3 were great. We also had the Chimichanga (fried steak) and it was a flavor bomb. They all went down easy with Modelo Especial! We will be back many times again.
The older woman who served us was tossing down the floor mat in front of the pickup window WITH HER BARE HANDS, then proceeded to pick up our plates once they were done, WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS, and brought them to us. This place is absolutely disgusting. I hope a health code inspector shuts them down so fast.
