What an absolutely gorgeous place! The high cliffs of the gorge. The green along the river. The water drifting quietly by. The old bridge still standing proudly. I've never driven down this narrow road west off Highway 68 at Pilar, and was really happy I did. A beautiful, short drive with some great campgrounds right off the road. Will definitely be back!

The ride was a little scary for me but so worth the trip. It was a wrong turn gone great. Beautiful views walking trails, rafting and fishing. The view from this side of the rio grande gorge was amazing.

This is a great place to experience the Rio Grande and its Gorge. You can hike in this area or even take a dip in the river.
The bridge is very photogenic.

This is one of my favorite spots to visit. The combination of the crystal clear blue waters of the Rio Grande and the towering cliffs make this a magical place to spend time in. There are multiple species of fish to catch, Rainbow, Brooke and Brown trout, Small Mouth bass and Sonora Suckers. It is a place worth experiencing, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful spot. Suggestion if you park on a blind corner, dont tell me to slow down. Im happy you try to control me instead of controlling your children. Great spot to pull out for Lower Taos Box so you can avoid most of the flatwater downstream. You have to pay to park but above you dont, really inconsistent
