Best bar ever!!!!!! This bar truly captures the essence of a dive bar. You actually have to go down to reach the bar. It is nice price drinks and great music. I have been going here for years and even after the pandemic the prices barely change. You cannot get any better than this place with the drinks. This is the REAL dive bar.
I come down here about three times a year. Most of the time, I've had a great experience, but last night I came by with some of my best friends. We sat down at a table in the corner. As soon as we sat down, I tried moving the light out of my face because the light was positioned directly at my eye. The female bartender with glasses came up to us and rudely exclaimed that we could not mess with the lights and that there was a drink minimum. For all of my years of coming here, I've never heard of there being a drink minimum just to sit down. I was not even allowed to explain why I had moved the light. I ordered a round for my friends, and the drinks were okay. I felt as though she could have been kind; her attitude was completely unjust. She continued to be passively aggressive throughout the entire night, so we ended up leaving. To the lady, maybe you were having a bad day; maybe some circumstances outside of your job were affecting you. Hopefully, you have better days. To the male with a sick pompadour. Thank you for being kind.
Always amazing! It is a smoking friendly bar so be aware if you've got a sensitive nose or just not your style. By far the safest bar I've been to since moving to the area. Love getting a taste of the local music scene here too!
A long tenured estaishment in Orlando; underground hole in the wall vibes. Intimate setting with two dart boards. But the real highlight here is they are the only bar in downtown Orlando that plays live music every single night of the week. With some great bands as well. Usually they post their monthly line up on Instagram for viewing. Definitely worth a visit. Warning, they don't serve food and they DO allow smoking. Nothing to extreme but it may bother some. Ashley's is the best bartender I've ever encountered! Super attentive and extremely genuine! Highly recommend! Best bar I'm Orlando!
Found this place by accident and had a great time , bartenders were great and the music was great last Saturday night . I never caught the bands name however
Really fun bar with live music. Very glad that we went. Drinks were great, venue was hopping. Tons of fun.
Tanqueray’s made me feel like a College Freshman again and living in this rat race we call life it wasn’t a bad thing. It’s an underground bar with daily live music and some reasonably price drink specials. It’s a cozy basement party kind of atmosphere where the lights are dim. If you look at my photos and videos everything inside is pretty much dark.
There was one problem I had and it didn’t affect my review because I knew ahead of time...smoking is allowed in this establishment. It wasn’t bad at first but the later it got the more I began to worry about the 2nd hand smoke and that was about an hour before closing, and honestly if the band didn’t take a break, I probably wouldn’t have noticed the smoke, the band was that good. I’m going to be honest we walked out of there smelling like we smoked 20 packs of cigarettes but we walked out feeling happy and hungry on the hunt for food...just like those fun old college days.
