Talpa Taqueria is my favorite place to get tacos on Buford Highway - and that's saying a lot, since there are so many truly incredible places you can go. My favorite are the pastor and carnita tacos, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The most meat I've seen on a taco!
This place has amazing food and never disappoints and everything is reasonable priced with every food having some kind of vegetable making it taste and healthy.
Out of a 10, I would give this place a 0! Tacos were dripping in grease, all the meat had no taste. Tortillas were cold & hard. No Salsa or Limes either, every taco had a pound of onions on it, barely any cilantro. Def not worth the money, we've had better in many places.
Every Thursday tacos for .99? You can't beat that. I get 2-3 tacos and a large horchata drink for less than $5. I work around the corner, so I pass by often. Good quality Mexican food, everything made fresh.
The food isn't all that great, sopes end up having a lot of water drenched on them due to the lettuce and that makes them soggy, the steak tacos are great, but the chicken tacos have the funky chicken smell on them as if they didn't clean the chicken or have kept it sitting in the fridge for a period of time, and the tongue tacos are ok but the tortillas also feel could as if they aren't heated through enough.
Good food but no good on cleaning after the customers leave the table we had to clean the table ourselves in order to sit
Bathroom is right by the tables and they don't put deodorant in it to avoid the odors from it
Pretty good place, tasty food, only bad thing is they started to raise the prices suddenly, I recommend the Barbacoa, it taste awesome!
