Best WLM Reviews
I went to Talkin' Taco, a casual halal Tex-Mex eatery for lunch in Miramar, FL, and it did not disappoint. The first thing that I noticed was the colorful artwork throughout this cozy restaurant. The two owners started out as a taco food truck during the pandemic and later opened their first restaurant and now have 15+ locations. They are also the official taco partner with the Miami Dolphins.
As you enter customers, order via a kiosk and are given a number when seating. They have a unique Tex-Mex twist.such as Birria Bao, Birria Pizza, Southwest Chicken Tacos, Birria Ramen, Strawberry n Cream/Cookies n Cream Churros, Birria Taki Tacos, Vegan tacos, Caribbean Carne Tacos and so much more! Great customer search and price range is between $2.99 to $18.99.
MAIN
Birria Ramen - Ramen Noodles, Beef Birria, Consomme, onions, and Cilantro.
Review - Rich flavorful broth with large tender chunks of beef birria and fresh herbs hit the spot. A few drops of habanero sauce was a welcome touch.
Caribbean Carne Tacos - Corn Tortilla, Sliced Plantains, Marinated Steak Topped, Avocado Salsa, Cotija Cheese, and Cilantro
Review - Sweet savory taco was a party in my mouth. The sliced plantains were a nice touch.
Steak Al Pastor Tacos - Corn Tortilla, Grilled Steak, Pineapple, Pickled Onion, Avocado Salsa, Cotija Cheese, and Cilantro
Review - The fresh, sweet pineapples paired with flavored steak and pickled onions were delicious.
Fish Tacos - Corn Tortilla, Red Cabbage, Avocado Salsa, Fried Mahi, Spicy Mayo, Pico de Gallo, and Cilantro
Review - Large lightly fried seasoned mahi mahi taco was a delicious sloppy mess. lol Perhaps the fish should be cut down smaller so the tortilla doesn't break.
DESSERT
Dulce de Leche Churros - Toppings: Strawberry & Cream/ Cookies & Cream/ Dulce de Leche
Review - Sooooo good! Long, lightly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside bronzed churros with an amazing dulce de leche (caramel) sauce along with condensed milk. Perfection!
Overall Rating: A-/B+ I can't wait to come back to try the boa, pizzas, special guacamole
First time at this establishment, decor and artwork are pretty cool. We ordered several items to include SW chicken tacos, steak tacos, chicken tenders & fries and street nachos. Street nachos was pretty good. It took much longer than anticipated to received our food (~25 mins). Word of advice, order online as you’ll need to use a kiosk to place order once at restaurant. We were disappointed in how they packaged our to-go order——never mind hot food in plastic containers are never the way to go. By the time we got to the food, tacos were soggy and oily. Very disappointing—— not sure I would try again.
Had a really bad experience here my first time coming in, food didn't taste how it was made out to be - a friend recommended it saying it was the best taco spot in South Florida - I've never heard something further from the truth.
We tried the birria burrito, the tacos, and some chips with guac. It gave me food poisoning/stomach problems for the next two days.
While there, the staff was rude and condescending in taking our orders and it took very long to receive the food. I know sometimes restaurants are inconsistent or "off" but this was extreme... Not sure if I'll ever try it again, I have an open mind but I'm currently on the fence. We'll see what happens soon.
Nice looking place, staff is friendly but the food quality is incredibly inconsistent. I even returned to the restaurant for a missing item from my order. This picture is the street corn nachos. Can you tell? Because I can’t.
Despite attempting to contact the restaurant, I couldn't reach anyone as their automated system transferred me to an unconfigured voicemail. This lack of responsiveness is highly inconvenient.
*update*
I received my replacement order today, April 12th, 2024, and I must say, the service provided by manager Nick was exceptional. He was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The nachos not only looked amazing, they also tasted fantastic! They were so delicious that I had to take an updated picture to share. Will definitely order again.
Sooo birria ramen! Must try, however I had the birria grilled cheese. And it didn’t disappoint!
Ok so we went to the Talking Tacos in Miramar because we were in the area. Upon arrival we noticed the decorations and atmosphere. I thought it was pretty cool.
To order you have to use the kiosk. Don’t worry it was very easy to use. We ordered the birria ramen, birria grilled cheese, the guacamole and chips the birria rice bowl, and some street corn in a cup.
Also to be noted I ordered another birria ramen to go and they were able to get it ready along with my other order. AMAZING!!!
The staff was nice and the food took about about 15-20 mins to get ready.
Now let me tell you I absolutely loved my birria grilled cheese. It was like the best ever and dipped in their tomato soup…..MAN!!!!!!! Flavor to the max!!!
I tried my wife’s birria ramen and it was legit. If you like ramen, it won’t disappoint.
All in all a great time if you like birria tacos, ramen, and such.
Side note: they are certified halal. Which is cool because my dad prefers halal when ever possible. The meat is shredded beef so it delivers on the flavor and texture of traditional birria ;)
Great little hole in the wall with bomb food. I was shocked at first but there are quite a bit of tacos available. They have birria ramen and for not being a ramen place, it’s pretty awesome. Caribbean tacos, jalapeño cheese dip is great as well. Def worth coming by to visit or checking out one of their other locations. Service is pretty fast and usually plenty of seating options.
First time at Talkin Tacos and it blew my mind from the ease of ordering to the deliciousness of the food! They have a contactless ordering system which is easy to use and complete you order. Each item has a description and customizable options to add or remove anything. The order took about 10 mins to come out. It did get a little packed so the line can get long but it’s definitely worth the wait. Once we got our food we decided to eat outside in the courtyard that had a beautiful view of the lake and it was perfectly decorated with tables, chairs, and benches. The hot sauces are also amazing and go perfectly with the food, you can even buy a whole bottle if you want! If you’re looking for great tacos, burritos, or guacamole this is definitely the place to go in Miramar!
My friends decided to pass through here after we went roller skating and the food was amazing.i had the Mahi tacos. The fish was seasoned and had very fresh toppings on the Taco and Pico was spicy just how I liked it. I also got the street corn and that was fantastic too!! I'm definitely taking a ride down here again. The food is soo on point!!
