Best WLM Reviews
This was my first time in this restaurant.
Honestly, the ambience wasn't that good. The door was always open, and it was cold inside.
The food was blunt, not warm, and looked like fast food. My beans had a stone in it that could have broken my tooth.
I think the food is overpriced.
I'm not going back again for sure.
Excellent carne asada tacos. We came on a Tuesday so got a $2.50 per taco deal. I personally didn’t care for the chorizo; and the carnitas and al pastor were decent. Small sized horchata. Tasty Habanero salsa; good dinner overall. There are other dishes and treats we’d like to try sometime.
Someone said they would give their first born for their ceviche and we came here. They didn’t mention the CHIPS, omg. I would surely agreee with that review. Delicious and cool spot.
Great food. The ordering and assembling of my burrito was quick. Although it was a bit past the dinner hour and closing time wasn't too far away. Shortly after ordering, I'm sitting at the table and the guy hands me my burrito over my shoulder. The 'kitchen' was right behind me.
The decor/art on the walls makes you feel like you're about to get something special on your plate. The display of salsas and desserts in the display case were impressive. Nothing about this place says, 'just another Mexican joint.'
I tried the mole sauce in a burrito. I'm glad my first experience with mole was a good one. Sorry for the picture of the partially eaten burrito, but it's the only way i could show you the inside. "Best Mole in 40 years" was is likely very well deserved. I'll be coming back for taco Tuesdays.
I️ love this place, there burritos are huge and I️ have had all the vegetarian options for their burritos and the nopales is my favorite! I️ have been having the same burrito since 2011 and man it is so good, I️ have had their other offerings, but I keep coming back to the nopales burrito with the mole, come with a big appetite their portions are generous for what you pay for and I️ love that. This place is always a treat when I whenever come here and their salsa bar is great as well.
Omg the crunchy tacos are so good. I enjoyed every bite. The staff was vert nice and it's cute and clean. I'm coming back for sure. Yummm
Great value more money! 3 tacos of your choice for 10 dollars. Nachos are also good and the dish is huge.
I really hate to leave bad reviews. Especially after only one visit. But, I hope that my criticisms can be used as an opportunity towards making improvements.
I ordered the simple burrito, vegan style, add sauteed peppers and onions, plus wet (covered in enchilada sauce).
For starters, when you pay with credit card, your only options are for how much of a percent to tip. They do have a little button for "other". But, you have to manually type in $0, and it's a bit uncomfortable when the cashier is right there in front of you. I think that instead they could have a "no tip" button option. Or even better, it should automatically assume no tip, and you should have to go out of your way to add a tip (especially, since this is for picking up your own order).
My personal opinion on the flavor was that it was poor. Out of 5 stars I give the refried beans 2 stars. The rice 2 stars, bcuz it seemed to be a bit undercooked (crunchy) and not fluffy or flavorful. Probably half of the sauteed onions and peppers seemed almost fully raw, and were just giant chunks thrown in that looked so unappealing and unprofessional.
I'm a burrito lover. I eat burritos multiple times per week from all over the bay area. When I find a place that makes really good burritos, I make that restaurant my regular "go to" in that area. The crazy thing is, that when the cook's or employees are being lazy and sloppy on just one order, that's all it takes to lose a potential lifelong customer with years of regular business. I understand that the cooks are making lots of orders, day in and out, but if you don't prepare every dish with a standard of integrity, you'll be communicating that as your business ethic to unsatisfied customers, (which can translate to the customer as: "we don't have standards", "you're unimportant to us" and, "we dont really care").
With this being said, I do want to make clear that this was my only time ordering from this restaurant. I chose this restaurant bcuz of it's stellar customer reviews. Maybe my experience was a rare doozy. But, unfortunately, for me it was unsatisfactory enough to not want to give them a second shot.
I do wish them the best
