Best WLM Reviews

Food was so underwhelming. The meats were all dry and flavorless. Food came out cold. Only good thing was the fries. Atmosphere is okay, very casual vibe. Service was good, it’s self serve for the most part.
Takorea was my favorite restaurant for a decade. The sesame fries with chipotle ketchup are incredible.
Up until now I only ever ordered the bibimbap. However, it was removed from the menu recently, so I’m forced to explore other options.
The burrito plate is also very decent, but there is a big, sad hole in my heart where that banchan gochugoodness used to be. RIP Takorea ‘bap.
We stopped at this place to try something different. The place is small but comfy inside. You order at the counter, and they are very helpful. We had the Bimbim Bop as it was on Food Network as a dish to try. My daughter enjoyed it. I had a Korean Chicken Taco and a Beef one. Both are very good. The fries are amazing, and dip them in the red sauce and wow! Dumplins were ok. Overall, it was a good place to eat.
Went to check out another taco joint today. You order at the register as you walk in. The lady taking the order was friendly and helpful. She gave me a nice sized sample of their lime frozen margy.
Takorea is a neighborhood eatery. Nothing fancy. One might say a little run down, but many times that’s where the best food is! It’s supposed to be a fusion between Mexican and Korean. I was intrigued!! I had a frozen (lime) margy and one pork and one beef Bulgogi taco (on flour tortilla)☹️I love spicy food (but I don’t like spicy just for the sake of eating something hot. The pork was so spicy that I couldn’t taste the meat at all. The Bulgogi tasted more like an overly salty pot roast. It didn’t taste at all like Bulgogi. It tasted more like what a foreigner might THINK it should taste like, but doesn’t actually have a clue. The tacos came with sesame fries (which were some of the best fries I’ve ever eaten! The margy was excellent, limey and tart!
I’d recommend going there for the frozen margys (they have several different flavors) and the fries.
We ordered at the counter and then found seats on the spacious covered outdoor patio.
Everything was really good and reasonably priced, especially the Pollo Doble quesadilla with the fried eggs!
My only complaint is that the "red bean brownie" didn't have any noticeable red bean in it. It was just a dry, crumbly brownie. ????
If you want sodium overload and sugar spike then you will enjoy this. I ordered the bimbim bop with beef bulgogi , Korean fried chicken taco and loaded bulgogi fries with a Strawberry Soju Lemondade and strawberry margaritas on the rocks.
BimBim Bop: Very salty, the beef bulgogi was chewy and lacked bulgogi flavor
KFC Taco: Was fine it was the only thing we finished.
Loaded Bulgogi fries: super salty with some sweetness, over fried and oily, flavor balance was off.
Strawberry Soju Lemonade: Liquid frosted Sugar
Strawberry Margarita: tasted like Tussin.
Didn't finish anything else, not even half total waste of money.
Stopped in for lunch. Food came out fast. Can we talk about these sesame fries OMG DELICIOUS!! I went on Taco Tuesday and had the Street Takos lunch special. I had the Crispy shrimp tako and the special a sweet and spicy chicken tako (not sure if that's the exact name ????), but both were FULL OF FLAVOR!!! I took my dessert to go the red bean brownie. It was so chocolately and rich. Overall, everything was DELICIOUS!!
Really great place, especially for the price. Lunch will run about $15 but everything seems pretty good quality. Vegetarian and vegan options are thoughtful and tasty. Tofu tacos were really yummy!
