Every year when I visit my parents we get a large Takis special pizza with anchovies. This year we got home and no anchovies. I called and the girl (who also took my order and waited on us at the restaurant ) told me that the reason there were no anchovies is because “they were out of them and stuff”. I said you should have told me that before and she said she did not know. If a customer asks for something they should be told if it is not available. We would not have ordered the pizza had we known because that is the main reason we get it in the first place. Very disappointed!
I recently visited Takis with the hope of enjoying some delicious Greek cuisine, but I didn’t get my wish.
The Greek food was meh. The Greek salad I ordered was a letdown. It was made with iceberg lettuce, ham slices, one sliced tomato and shredded feta. It didn’t have cucumber, red onion, bell peppers or large feta pieces. Also, the hummus was just okay, with grocery store hummus actually tasting better. And to top it off, we were only given one pita for the hummus appetizer, and no vegetables were offered.
The entrees didn't fare much better, as the chicken souvlaki was dry and lacking in flavor. The Greek potatoes were also disappointing, as they didn't have any lemon in them. To make matters worse, the wine glass served was tiny, almost like half a glass.
Also, the service was slow. The food took a whopping 45 minutes to arrive at our table. We ordered 2 hummus and one arrived 15 minutes before the other. Food was slightly over-priced.
Overall, I didn’t give it one star because the server was friendly and they do take reservations. However, the food and service left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Greek cuisine.
A nice restaurant with great employees. Prices are competitive and portions quite generous. Their spaghetti sauce is delicious and their pizza is OK. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning and perhaps a little decor and menu updating should be considered. Looking forward to the next visit.

Great Greek food. Great taste and waitress! Lots of different Greek & Italian food. Good atmosphere and you can actually hear each other talk! Prices a bit higher each time I go. No longer serve lots of garlic rolls w Tzacki sauce, that is now an appetizer.
Been going to Takis before it was in Lady Lake before they add the new building over in Leesburg when it was in the same plaza as an old and gone pirate seafood restaurant in Leesburg. This is the 3rd time in a row I ordered a large Stromboli without a golden crust and smaller then they ever been. My appetizer weighed more and cost less than the large Stromboli. Will not be ordering here again. Good Luke to future guests
The calzone blew my mind best thing I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant and the margaritas were out of this world
Really good food for a great price. We have stopped in our fist time back on February 13th for lunch. We stared with Dolmades and they where very good. The Takis tzatziki sauce is hands down one of the best I have had. I had the Greek salad for my main course and the girlfriend had the Gyro plate. Both where very good.
Our second trip was a couple weeks later. I had the fried Calamari and the girlfriend had the Quiche. Both meals where very good. The only issue was our waiter seemed to have a I don't care attitude and he did not keeping our drinks filled. To me that can ruin an dining experience and is a major pet peeve of mine.
