Best WLM Reviews
This Indian restaurant is a true gem in the desert! We've ordered from here numerous times through delivery apps, and they have consistently exceeded our expectations. The food always arrives hot, fresh, and bursting with authentic flavors. Each dish is meticulously prepared, showcasing a perfect balance of spices that cater to both traditional and contemporary palates.
Dining in at the restaurant is an equally delightful experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. Their prompt service means you won't have to wait long to enjoy your meal, making it a convenient choice even on a busy day.
Located conveniently close to the strip, it’s a great option for both locals and tourists looking for a delicious escape from the usual fare. Whether you’re craving a quick bite or a leisurely dining experience, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. We highly recommend giving it a try—you won't be disappointed!
During our long weekend travels, we stumbled upon this Indian restaurant while searching for a quick dinner option. Located in a plaza, the restaurant offers ample parking space. The ambiance was decent, and there were plenty of seats available as it was late at night and not very busy.
We were promptly seated and offered bottled water and a papad tray. After browsing the menu, we decided on tandoori roti, a garlic naan bread basket with chicken Madras curry, and both chicken and goat biryani. When asked about spice levels, the server surprised us by asking for a number on a scale of 1 to 10. We opted for level 5 for the chicken biryani and level 7 for the goat biryani.
Despite the restaurant being less busy, the food arrived late. The bread basket of garlic naan and roti was mediocre, but the chicken Madras curry was flavorful. However, the biryanis were just okay in terms of taste, and the spiciness of the goat biryani was overwhelming, as if they had simply added more chilies without regard for balance. Additionally, the portion sizes were small for the price range.
To our surprise, we later discovered that we were charged $3 each for the bottled water, which was not complimentary. Despite its high reviews, the overall quality of food and service at the restaurant fell short of expectations. While there were highlights such as the flavorful chicken Madras curry, the late arrival of food, mediocre bread options, overwhelming spiciness in the biryanis, and unexpected charges for bottled water detracted from the experience. Overall, the restaurant did not meet the standards suggested by its positive reviews.
Had never had Indian food before, I saw a couple trying it and they said it was good. So I googled Indian food and Taj Palace was rates high. So I ordered butter chicken, garlic Naan and chicken samosas. The food was amazing, will have to go back and try other dishes, just can't do too spicy.
Spent over $80 on few items. Mostly vegetarian dishes. My dessert carrot halwa arrived absolutely cold, straight from the fridge. I called and asked them to give me extra paneer in my veg biryani, I didn’t see more than 3 pcs. The portion was really small and biryani was full of oil. Come on last time someone gave me a reply here that our biryani serves 2 people. It’s not true, you use to serve biryani in bigger box, biryani is $17 plus tax it’s not cheap. I couldn’t even eat because it was filled with oil. You have competition with 2 other Indian restaurants on the same street. Mint bistro and Ashiana, their food and service is pretty good. I am coming to your restaurant with my kids for a very long time. Should improve your food, quality, quantity and service.
This place recently opened in my neighborhood and I had to try it so first I had dinner there. It was delicious the service was great and then I found out they had a buffet so I went back for the buffet and it was absolutely amazing so worth it. So delicious, and there were so many authentic Indian people in there so you know if the people from that country eat eat there the food is good
Great place for Indian food!
We had our lunch buffet here. The price is reasonable and the food is yummm!! My highlights were samosas, chilli chicken and mango custard.
The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was Indiany? ????
Would recommend anyone looking for comfort indian food.
A Disappointing Experience at Taj Palace Indian cuisine
I recently visited Taj Palace Indian Cuisine, an Indian restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Here's a breakdown of my disappointing visit:
1. Unpleasant Service: The service at Taj Palace Indian Cuisine was far from satisfactory. Our server was not only unhelpful but also arrogant in his demeanor. When we inquired about sharing a soup, the response was dismissive and delivered in a condescending tone. Additionally, our request for a vegan biryani without paneer, an option clearly mentioned on the menu, was met with confusion, highlighting a lack of understanding of the available choices.
2. Incoherent Menu Descriptions: We ordered a vegetarian platter, expecting a variety of items. However, what arrived was far from what one would typically consider a platter. It included 2 samosas, 2 kachoris, and 4 manchurian balls. The term "platter" was misleading and did not accurately reflect the dish's contents.
3. Subpar Culinary Experience: The food quality at Taj Palace Indian Cuisine was a major letdown. The gajar halwa was insipid, resembling a paste with added color and sugar. The mango custard, while slightly better, seemed over processed and had an excessive amount of dalda. Both dishes lacked the authentic flavors one would expect from an Indian restaurant.
4. Communication Issues: When asked about spice levels, the server insisted on a scale of 10, despite my preference being 4 out of 5. This miscommunication was not only confusing but also delivered in a disrespectful tone. Furthermore, when the curry lacked salt and spice, we were told to adjust it ourselves, which seemed like an inadequate solution. The server justified this by saying, "Each customer will have different salt and spice levels, so we do not add it, and you can add it as needed." This statement raised questions about the purpose of inquiring about spice preferences if the kitchen wasn't willing to accommodate them.
5. Overall Experience: In conclusion, my visit to Taj Palace Indian Cuisine was disappointing on multiple fronts. From the lackluster service to the subpar food quality, it felt like a regrettable choice. I would caution others against visiting this establishment unless they are willing to endure ill-treatment along with a less-than-satisfactory dining experience.
I sincerely hope Taj Palace Indian Cuisine takes constructive feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to provide a better dining experience for its patrons.
This place was packed.
First off, it’s disappointing to see a waiter getting your bill just after 5 minutes of you starting to eat. Indirectly asking us to leave?
The buffet bowls and plates are unhygienic, they weren’t properly cleaned, as we can still food and residue in them.
Except saag paneer and naan, none of the food tasted good, all the meat items were dry. Even after consuming very less food, I had bloating the whole day after having lunch at this place. Not sure if something is mixed in the food.
All this confuses me, how could this restaurant possible attract so many people?
