Best WLM Reviews

My god… just left the maine mall location for a burrito bowl and I almost didn’t want to eat it because it was so beautiful. Then I ate it and I wanted 68 more. I love burritos. I love Mexican food. It’s kind of a problem but a good problem to have. That being said - no wonder they just opened another location. This food is so god damn good and the guy told me my food would take “three minutes”. It was faster. And better than I’ve had in a long time. For the record I doused it in hot sauce and messed it up before taking this picture so it doesn’t do it justice.
Given the positive reviews, I was excited to try to the truck on the Eastern Prom. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up. I found the flavors to be one note and the red salsa was very watery. Everything was *way* too salty. The burrito was a fair price for the size but the tacos were overpriced. Overall, very disappointing.
I live part time in San Diego & this is the most authentic SoCal taste you will find in Maine. They definitely don’t skimp on meat! Tacos burritos quesadillas, all awesome! Happy to see this local business growing!
Let's go, finally a Mexican restaurant that tastes like food from the Southwest. First off, I got it from the food truck on the eastern prom. I saw that they had onions, cilantro, and radish in the street tacos and new it had to be good. First bite and my face lit up with nostalgia. I felt like I was eating an authentic burrito back home in Arizona, or by the beach in California. It's been awhile since food has made my this happy while also making me miss my home. Chicken was marinated and juicy. The tortillas tasted better than any I've had in my 3 years of being in New England. Tasted exactly like the tortillas from Food city (Mexican grocery store in AZ.) Pico and salsas were flavorful. I'm definitely coming back. Thank you for bringing the real deal to Maine.
Wicked fast service and very spicy/flavorful pork burrito bowl. Atmosphere takes a hit because it’s in the food court…
Located in the Maine Mall, you'll find this Mexican establishment in the food court area next to the restrooms. No, that was not an attempt to say you'll need to use it after. They literally are the first restaurant right after the restroom area and next to a French fry place.
The food was fantastic. All the ingredients used seem fresh and not something that has been sitting there for hours. The quality of the meats was great and the sauces appear to be made in house.I had a burrito in salad form. It came with rice, beans, fresh avocado, chips, pico de Gallo, and a meat of your choice. I left off the cheese. My wife had the tacos and the kids each got a burrito.
The only reason for the 4-stars is the pricing. They are a bit on the pricey side where for four people (3 tacos, 1 burrito and 2 burrito salads ran close to $75. Staff was very friendly.
If you are willing to pay premium prices for a Mexican food joint in a mall food court, try them out. The food won't disappoint, but it will hit the wallet.
So, so good. I got a chicken empanada which was so toasty and delicious, with nice pulled chicken inside and potato. It came with a bright carrot and cabbage slaw- no mayo, more of a very light herbaceous vinaigrette. Husband got a steak burrito with yellow rice done right. And we loved it all so much we got another order to take home for tomorrow.
I lived in central Mexico for years. The tamales at Poblanita, (which means little gal from Puebla), are the solid, satisfying tamales I remember, a bowl of beans, a tamale and a drink and you have a good meal that sticks to your ribs for under $15. It’s located in a big noisy food court in the Mall, but I can pretend, if I close my eyes, that I am once again in a Mexican outdoor market. If you can spend a little more, I recommend the chicken enchiladas!
