Loved the place. We were just looking for that authentic Mexican Food and we were really happy with what we got. Service was great and friendly.
Growing up this was my family's number-one place to eat. Every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday as today. I haven't been in a long time and I am glad to see that nothing has changed.
Place is legit. Salsa is bangin, burritos and tacos are fire, and they get you set up mad quick. Parking lot in the back is a huge bonus. Kinda hood, there's lots of homeless around and some might even be brazen enough to ask you to buy them food, but I mean it's Pomona, there's not much you can do about that!
Authentic! Lushous Mexican food. Taste from my childhood onto my plate in Pomona. I love this place!
You can get food choices most don't offer...and can he cook! (Makes my mouth water just thinking about his food.)
He cooks goat meat right out of Biblical days...(that caused an inheratince to be traded away). I almost always get a bowl...I can't resist it.
Last time I had fish tacos. So delicious I ordered another one. I have never had a bad bite! This is a good one...for sure!

Called my order in and ended up not having it due to giving it to someone else how disappointing now to wait for them to redo my food.
Had to drive back to correct my food since they made it wrong while I waited for my food there. Como on get it together tacos jalisco first you give my food away, then you add onion to my food have to waste my gas twice shame on you guys
We veen coming here for years I'm talking about since I was a kid I'm 32 years old now, and it's sad to say the past 3 years ever since covid this place has fallen off ???? I literally go once a week the ladies know who iam. But this is getting ridiculous $9 they charge for a torta now .$9!!! Last year believe they were $7.95 now Look at this sorry excuse for a torta... where is the meat !!?? I'm so upset I paid $9 for two pieces of bread with hardly any meat inside . I get it ,inflation and everything costing more but if your going to keep raising prices then atleast don't shorten customers on the food!. Atleast keep the portions for what they use to be or somewhat close to it.. Trying to squeeze the most out of customers and charging more $$$ but giving customers way ,way , less portions isn't right.. at this point it isn't even worth it buying food out anymore its not cheaper and it's way way less food. Better off making my own carne asada tbh.. idk I probly won't come back for a while. I know the ladies there are going to ask me why I havnt gone . So I'm posting this review .
I went to Taco Jalisco on November 11.2023 around 8pm. My family and I were coming to this new establishment we’ve never been to to try the food. The moment we walked in the cashier which I do not know her name but she was wearing glasses kind of heavyset. Gave gave us a dirty look, and I kind of ignored it because I was like what is her problem. The customer that was in front of us was greeted what they smell and also was told in Spanish good evening when it was our turn to order she had this whole nasty attitude. I am African-American, and I knew at that moment she was being racist. I spoke to her and Spanish the whole entire time I speak Spanish fluently I’m assuming she did not like that I was treated with poor service and even asked who was in charge another woman told me, the person in charge was not available. I told her that I felt racially profiled and did not like I was being treated and the other cashier apologized for her being rude. However, we still had ordered the food. The food was good. I feel sorry for the owners who are losing money because of this woman and her attitude , the owners are losing customers because of this woman. I would never ever return to tacos Jalisco ever again. I thought racism only existed in the 1950s so I felt they didn’t want me to be there. I would not recommend this place for any of my family nor friends. And you could tell the difference how she treated the first and the last customers after us very nicely as they were Hispanic and treated us poorly. This is still America do better.
Used to be a good spot, I recently went and ordered 2 asada burritos but when I bit into it, nothing but rice and beans with a few pieces of meat… tacos weren’t bad, as a matter of fact 1 taco had more meat than the burrito. I let the lady know and she said that the new boss said only that small amount of meat per burrito. I got swindled, paid for a asada burrito and got a rice and beans burrito. This place has lost my business from here on out, I’ll be going to la tapatía.
