Best asada torta I have ever had! Simple and to the point with their ingredients! Not to much mayo! That’s important because some place drown it out with the mayo. Also no beans on this one which is fine with me because the meat was seasoned perfectly and I’m afraid the beans would have taken that flavor away!
Great little place and can't beat for a dollar each taco. Cabeza, chicharrón, carne con Papas, and machaca . Great for a quick bite.
This is -not- Tex-Mex which is pretty good food. This is -not- Ameri-Mex which is also pretty good food. But when you want 100% authentic Mexican food that's made by Mexican cooks and served by smiling Mexicans, this is your place. Now, to put the cherry on top, they also have authentic Mexican drinks. The only complaint I have is that they don't serve guacamole which is shamefully the norm - only in Yuma. They serve the green agua-mole stuff. The reward for using this watered-down substitute is $1 tacos until 11 a.m. as well as 20 tacos for 20 bucks at any time. Check out the attached menu pic's if you're in the mood for authentic, delicious, real Mexican food that you don't have to go to Mexico for or wait around 'til Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday NIGHTS. Zamies (Tacos El Zamy)is open 8a to 8p, Monday through Sunday. Minus 1 Star for the ugly-watered-down of the aqua-mole. Plus 1 Star for the 20 for $20 tacos any-time time which is my time. We have never really had authentic Mexican food before but this place had such great reviews we had to try it out. The food was so good. We had shrimp steak and pork tacos. They were very tasty. The beef and pork were lightly but well seasoned. The shrimp was fried in a light but flavorful batter. Complemented with a good selection of Salai, guacamole, cabbage, and more. I even had a Mexican Coke. Best of all we left full for around $20. We aren't in Yuma for much longer but we will definitely come back before we leave.
Had a wonderful time all ate well for 50 dollars for a family of 7 ordered (2) of the 20 tacos for 20 bucks and 6 rolled potato tacos for 2 bucks awesome deals also thanks for the great customer service. Job well done. We'll definitely be back again with more family members.
Tacos were pretty good and can't beat $20 for 20 but our service was pretty how could I say?? HORRIBLE!!! I felt bad cause you see the old couple grinding in the kitchen while the girl in front is messing up their business. Only time she would attend to us is when I got tired of waiting and walked up to the counter because the old man would come out of the back so she would run over.
Would have given 4 stars but they started giving out 16 oz. cups for their Horchata instead of the 32 oz and still charge $3 each. With all the ice you're lucky to get 8ozs. The tacos and flautas are pretty good, comes with a tray of the usual toppings. Place seems clean and the server took good care of us.
Sometimes the food is amazing and service is great. Most of the time the carne is too dry the birria is too salty and the service sucks. We sat and it took at least 20 minutes before the lady came with menus and them she walked away. 10 minutes later she came back and asked our order. The food came out little at a time. She never came back for refills or to check if we needed anything. Not once. We were sitting for at least an hour after we finished eating before my bf got up to go to the counter and get someone's attention.
