This use to be one of my favorite spots near work. Now they are absolutely horrible. The chicken flautas were disgusting. The chicken you can tell was old and sitting there for quite a while. When I called they said they couldn’t send a fresh order only if we ordered something else (we couldn’t eat it, it was inedible). After waiting for 10 mins on the line and blaring music in the background. They wanted to said the flaulas fresh because we requested a refund. Since they didn’t want to give us a refund we took the flautas for them to AGAIN BE DISGUSTING.
I tried the burrito al Pastor, and it was so delicious. it has been so long since my last time here.. but it was good. the service was great too. also, we ordered an order of flautas to go and it was yummy. Definitely I will come back to try the tacos again.
These tacos were incredible. I had crispy tripe, lengua, and carnitas. I ordered the carnitas on the crunchy American style taco. It was so so crunchy!!! I loved the texture. It’s unlike anything I’ve experienced in Texas. The tripe was cooked perfectly to melt in your mouth. The orange sauce was delicious, spicy, and flavorful. I can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu.
My partner had the chicken tacos which were incredibly flavorful. My only complaint is they were a tiny bit dry, but the flavor was so good it didn’t matter. If you go, definitely try at least one crunchy American style taco.
5 tacos and a glass coke were $22. Great lunch for you and a friend.
Real Autentic Mexican Meal

Stop at this little Mexican eatery after visiting the gym close by. The food was fine, great, portions and very authentic. However the place itself was lacking. It was a small place but it needed cleaning and a bit of upkeep.
Used to eat here often, have tried about 1/3 of the menu, and Versatiles was our 'go to' Mexican place in the neighborhood. Everything was so so delicious.
After some time passed, I realized that I was getting an upset stomach about 30 minutes after every sit down meal inside the restaurant- and I did let management know about this problem as soon as I realized it (at least 2 years ago). However, according to more recent posts here, it sounds like the problem hasn't been fixed.
Oddly enough, I have never become ill when ordering takeout or delivery- and so my guess is that some type of contamination is occurring after the food leaves the kitchen- and is making its way (unclean plates maybe? ) to the table. So, there's a clue for the management.
I'm eager to dine here again, and so it's my hope that the owners will correct the problem so that I can again dine in at Tacos Versatiles.
