My new favorite place for Burritos. Their supreme, all-meat, and tacos are all delicious and well portioned. The service is lightning fast and the prices are very decent. Food is delicious, fast, and decently priced. What else can you ask for. The people working in the truck are very nice.
I've put this review off for a long time. I've frequented this food truck a few times over the last 20yrs...but it's time to spread the word. I'm highly disappointed at the food, as it HAS declined in taste and value. I picked up 8 tacos...4 chicken and 4 beef (pictured). 1st, they only offer beef, chicken, pork, and lengua...NO Barbacoa. 2nd, the meat can be dry and overcooked, and that's why they rely on a green sauce to top-off the tacos. Consistency can also be a problem as well, whether it's the onions and cilantro, or the same amount of meat on each. And while the tortillas are grilled, they can be burned if left on the grill too long. The addition of radish slices aren't really necessary...I'd prefer carrots. Prices are $1.25 per Taco, even ON Tuesday. It used to be better food, but I'm sorry to say they've become complacent in their position. There are now better, cheaper food trucks in town...I'll get to more of them over the next few months.
My partner and I bought dinner to bring back home for everyone. I got barbacoa tacos, my partner got a carne asada burrito and a barbacoa torta, my kids got a quesadilla they were kind enough to make just meat and cheese, and a carne asada supreme burrito. Everyone loved everything! The meat was tender and flavorful, everything was well composed and just plain delicious. And they are super nice people too!
If your not from chico and you come to visit you'll find there are a large variety of taco trucks. I have tried them all. This one is by far the best. You can tell they put effort into their meats with the great flavor it has. The workers are quick to get the orders out and make things how you want. I highly recommend this taco truck above all others in Chico. They have two that I know of and a restaurant.
Normally, I would rate these guys 5 stars, but this last order was not very good. I will say it was just before closing, so I am thinking that the asada meat might have set to long in the marinade, which made it very very salty. If I didn't live so far away I would have taken it back. This was the only bad experience I have ever had here. I eat here often.
Good taco truck place and location my go to from here is the asada torta. Ingredients always seem good quality and fresh. Usually, I'm weary of these types of places, but I'm glad I found this one. Fair prices. sometimes girls are a little too social in there when I'm in a hurry or people start lining up other than that good place to eat.
Usually delicious and satisfied with service but recently ordered 4 different tacos on 2 different plates. They got my order wrong and I didn't notice until driving all the way back home. Returned to get my correct order and not only did they want the old taco plate back but she insisted that it was me who ordered the wrong tacos. I know that I didn't because I always order the same thing. ANYWAY horrible customer service ???? Eventually, I got my correct taco plate.
The food and service were very good. But remember, for the atmosphere, it's a taco truck . But a really good one ????
