Honest review. I ordered from this place because Speedy García was closed and I wanted some tacos. Ordered chicken tacos. It was tasteless and greasy. The tortilla fell apart. I dont think they gave me chicken like I ordered. After two bites I gave up. My boyfriend ordered the steak tacos and he said it was okay at least he was able to eat it. I don’t think I will be coming back.
One day after the workday had ended, the Fat Man had skipped lunch and was looking for a quick place to grab some food. Tacos El Macho is a food truck set up at the BP at the corner of Four Mile and the Eastern Bypass in Richmond, KY.
I had a craving for Birria Pizza. This came with Birria and cheese sandwiches between large tortillas. Consume. The tortillas were crispy and chewy and dipped into the consume before going to the flat top. They had been cooked to a golden brown, melting the cheese nicely. The birria was juicy and tender. However, it had little flavor and needed seasoning. The orange hot sauce had great flavor and some good heat, possibly habanero, that continued to build after the bite. The Verde sauce was cooling and had a nice sour punch with a bright, fresh flavor. Both offered a nice contrast to the heavy meat and the salty, melted, chewy cheese. The consume provided a thick, rich broth that was delicate in texture and had the flavors of a beef stew. This broth was a real treat and would be great with almost anything.
I also decided to try the Barbacoa Torta. This came with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion and avocado. The barbacoa was tender and juicy, with a nice light salt flavor and enough fattiness to give great texture and chew. The veggies were fresh and crisp; I would have liked to have more tomatoes and avocado, mainly because the bites that had avocado were creamy in texture. The cheese melted very well; it was ooey and gooey with a slight chew. Like all torta buns, the bun is large and thick, soaking up the Barbacoa juices. Tacos El Macho has tacos, Birria, tortas, burritos and quesadillas. They serve soft drinks as well. The Fat Man says that Tacos El Macho is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.
Stopped by this evening for a chicken burrito, and oh my my, how delicious it was. It is such a wonderful family owned and operated food truck. Couldn't ask for friendlier and welcoming people.
Got to try them today and it was absolutely delicious. The birria pizza was great. Well worth the money. Especially with how big it is and what it comes with.
Got to say this is by far one of the best taco trucks in Richmond food was great services was amazing and fast so of your looking for some good tacos, burritos or tortas this is a must try. Picture doesn't not do it justice also try the birria tacos ????

I had the Taco trio special and it was finger licking good! The food was tasty, the service was quick and they were super nice. The taco truck is clean and the food presentation is amazing. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back. ????
Recently dropped a vehicle off at gates Nissan, while I was waiting on my ride I saw their taco truck. I decided to check them out the gentleman working was so helpful and was willing to make great suggestions. The food was Amazing! Will definitely return.
