The workers closed the dinning hall 30 minutes early at 9:30pm and denied my group entry. We called twice before showing up to make sure that they would accommodate a large group and the worker said yes.
Dined in here for the first time the other day, and it was dope. The asada fries smacked! Normally I don’t like nacho cheese on my asada fries but these hit different. Mango drink was aight, prefer their horchata forsure. They’re open late so it makes for a great late night spot. Definitely will be coming back if in the area. The decor is nice too, great outside seating area with string lights.
Came here to get some food and decided on the meat bowl with carne asada. It was pretty good. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the beans and rice were good, and the taco shell bowl was flaky and crispy. Overall a good experience and I'd definitely come back to try other plates.
Food is great and so is the atmosphere. Quick service. Proof in the picture
Cute little Mexican joint with delicious burritos. This is the best El Grullense. Enchiladas and champurrado are good too. You can sit inside or at the bar outside.
Listen, I don’t know what all these 1-3 star reviewers are talking about. This place has and always will hit. I’ve been coming here for the last ten years and I’ve never had a bad experience or a bad meal. I will go out of my way to come here. By far among some of the best places in the Bay Area for tacos. I love the carne asada, they always get a nice char/grill on there that’s full of flavor. They aren’t skimpy or cheap with the meat. 100% highly recommend.
Love food here. For me, their signature is the carnitas burrito. So yummy. The crispy, fatty prk w all that freshly chopped onions, cilantro... So simple but so so good. The pastor is another must try. One caution, when they say hot, it's hot. So don't be macho. Just get it mild. Prices are surprisingly very reasonable also nowadays
Food and service is okay. This place used to be better. I feel the quality of food and service has definitely declined, sadly.
Very inexpensive and ambiance is authentic Mexican. Ps: there an upgraded el grullense in San Carlos, I haven’t tried!
