Best WLM Reviews
Overall, the food is good. But for the price, it’s just ok, better options are just a drive away. To start the quesadilla, had very little cheese, and small in size. The only taco that was worth it was the carne asada taco. This one included guacamole and pico de gallo. Again the portions are just ok, al pastor meat is very good. Customer service was nonexistent. Took the cashier a while to get to us, asked for our name, so they can call us. After seeing other families pick up their food, and not being called, it was apparent that they were not calling names. The indoor seating is good, however, it’s very loud. The humming of the refrigerator was very loud, along with their music. Don’t mind the music, but overall noise was excessive. Outdoor sitting is nice. Plenty of parking.
Very poor service. I 100% kept myself polite and respectful but their treatment and attitude was uncalled for. Stay away from their fries and their disgusting "guacamole Dip" The menu says it has guacamole and they put guacamole Dip instead. Very misleading and sketchy. The mulita was okay but overall I wouldn't come here just because of their attitude and very expensive. You don't just pay for food. But for service and none of it is worth it.
This place is a bigger disappointment than 6 years ago when i went last, i’m only giving the food a 2 because the tortillas are hand made here. Supposedly this place was created by the Ex wife of Tacos El Gordo owner way back when and was meant to be better, it is very very far from being considered close to that level. The location was noisy with a broken sounding kitchen duct fan, the menu is toward the front where you get your food but the order and pay before you do is is 180 of that, the food is very low quality meat with lots of fat chunks and mostly flavorless. I got the least amount of meat in this $18 plate of adobada fries, you would think they’d be giving it away for how bad it was. Came here with 3 others who are local , born and raised in SD and all 4 of us said it was bad and usually at least one of us has a good thing to say about the food places we go to, except this time. We didn’t finish our food out of disgust, overpriced and low quality. I don’t even write food reviews and this place was so bad that I was compelled to leave this to warn people not to punish their taste buds and waste their time here. DO BETTER TACOS EL G.
In my humble opinion, it's the best taco spot in town, if not in all of SOCAL.
Great tacos. Fresh salsa and sliced radishes. Both fountain drinks and soda in cans. Indoor and outdoor seating. Photo is of outdoor seating. I got 3 Adobada tacos and it was the perfect amount of food. Also has a drive thru
Best tacos in the USA (same as Tacos El Gordo). Seriously delicious.
The best is the adobado vampiro. Corn tortilla sandwich filled with the most deliciously flavored meat, fresh onions, salsa, and cheese.
So dang good!!!
The prices are a bit steep, but you’re getting the best tacos possible.
Same quality as Tacos El Gordo, pretty much a copy cat with slightly higher prices and a bit closer to downtown.
I got a mulita de adobada, taco de carne asada, and taco de suadero. I once had a taco de suadero and it was so good I had to try it here. The tacos here were just ok, the adobada was a little too salty for my taste and it had very little of that creamy avocado sauce that adobada tacos usually come with. I didn't really like the suadero either... I may just drive a little further and get Tacos El Gordo or go to Tacos Revolucion.
First time here. Talk about tacos. Wanna have tacos bursting with amazing authentic flavor, try going here.
We ordered the little Tijuana style tacos! ???? ???? ???? ????
Ya gotta try them yourselves to understand what we mean by bursting with flavor!!!
