Best WLM Reviews
All good. Quality of food was good. Flavorful, spicy salsas. Solid mom and pop place. Online pics of menu are out of date. Avocado add-ons vary by item purchased.
We love visiting this place anytime we’re near Gilroy. Their tacos are delicious, they have a salsa bar, mexican Coca Cola (the best), and a variety of original flavor mexican chips. On the weekends they have karaoke which really livens up the place. You have to order first, at the end near the screens, then wait for your number to be shout out and pick up in the kitchen bar. There’s a restroom and all the place is refrigerated, and some seating outside. There’s not a lot of parking for the seating capacity but they do have some. The pastor tacos are our favorite, maybe the best in all Bay Area. Also, the tortillas are made right there and are delicious.
Amecas is my favorite mexican food place north of San Diego. Ridiculously delicious Mexican food. Hand made corn tortillas from scratch. Their carne asada is so good. Best carne asada anywhere. Best carne asada nachos on the planet. Their Mulitas are fire sooooo delish. The carne asada quesadillas with hand made corn tortillas are amazing. Their carne asada tacos with hand made corn tortillas are twice as big as most other taco shops. All of their meat is good (al pastor, carnitas, lengua) The salsa bar totally is top notch. You will spend more to eat here than your average taco shop but it is worth penny. If itvis anywhere dinner time the placed is always busy. You gotta come check it out. You won't regret it.
Stopping through Gilroy and were happy to discover this gem. The portions are massive and the food was delicious. We ordered a mini quesadilla, a taco bowl, a carne taco, a brisket taco, and a carnitas taco.
Highly recommend their brisket and pork tacos. Seriously delicious!
There was also a DJ performing some live karaoke, which was fun and made for a lively lunch. Will be sure to always come when we are in the area!
Over priced, meat too dry and they charge extra for toppings (diced onions, cilantro etc).. Paid $2.25 for side of avocado and got 3 thin slices that wasn’t enough for even a quarter of my quesadilla. The Birria taco was absolutely disgusting! Looked NOTHING like how other restaurants serve it. They charged me extra $6 for the Birria sauce and all I got was nasty beef broth instead, see picture included. Spent over $70 for 1 carne quesadilla, 1 shrimp taco, 2 fish tacos, 1 birria taco and 2 cokes. Complete waste of money. I don’t know how this place stays so busy with the price gouging, small portions, and low quality food. The cashier was nice so 1 star because of her and zero stars for the food and pricing.
An amazing selection of regional and local favorite dishes, including fish tacos. Speedy service, giant portions, and a variety of salsas, Pico de gallo, limes and homemade sauces. What more to ask for after a day at the Gilroy Outlets?? This place shines with unique compliments to all pallettes. Will visit again soon!
The atmosphere was okay, the thing I like about this place is the food I had one taco and it was fabulous. It was a chicken taco I believe. I went in my car and ate it cuz I couldn't wait to eat it. I will definitely go back. I didn't really feel that welcome there . Being from a different ethnic background
Building and parking lot looks, well… Old and antiquated with an uneasy feeling that it’s not quite as clean as it should be.
The inside is big with plenty of inside seating, music playing making me want to say I I I epha epha, berrrrr-ah-ha!!! “That is not a dig at the Business, I really enjoyed the music”. You order at one end of the building and pick up at the other. I ordered a El Pastor Super burrito $9.99 + avocado extra $1.00 in mandarin Jarritos soda $3.50 “total $16 ish”
The burrito is huge but the meat was not juicy as I would expect from El Pastor. Also, strangely 1/2 the burrito was room temp, the cheese, avocado and other cold ingredients were on one side and the meat, rice and beans on the other. It reminded me of an old McDonald’s commercial to keep the hot side hot in the cold side cold except in a bad way. Overall the burrito was meh and it came back up so I could revisit the flavors within an hour.
