GET THE CABEZA!! Best cabeza taco I’ve ever had. Wish I ordered 10 more. I liked the ribs as well. Al pastor was good, but I’ve had better in LA.

We drive in from San Bernardino just to eat at Tacos a Carbron! The best tacos in the East Los area! You cant beat the price or the food! Way better than king taco!
East Los Angeles has a long history of great street tacos. My favorite items here is the pork rib tacos, Al pastor and carne asada. The meats are cooked on an open grill with charcoal. The lines can be long during weekends and holidays or after a Dodgers game, 20-40 minutes wait is common. But, the food is worth definitely waiting for. After choosing the meats, there is a full salsa bar with variety of mild to fiery hot habanero sauce, cilantro, onion, cucumbers and sliced onions marinated in lime juice and orange habanero slices.
At first, I wonder, how do we eat pork rib tacos? How does that make sense, it has meat and a bone. Then I figured out, we eat the ribs and tortillas separately. The tortilla is really fresh, made by hand on location.
These tacos are ok. I paid $29 for a plate of ribs, carnes asada quesadilla and 1 squirt soda , please do the math. I had to ask the gentleman why it didn’t have rice or beans . He said cuz the plate with more ribs doesn’t come with rice . The rice was not good nor the beans . The quesadilla was really bad. The cheese was like stamped onto the tortilla and gave me the impression it had been sitting on it for a while. The flavor was ok nothing out of this world but very very expensive. If you have that type of money go there everyday . I’ll try to hold on to the little money I have and be very selective about going out .
These tacos are FIREEEE! These are so good! Even the carne asada has a good flavor. You def have to try the costilla tacos!
Tacos are pretty solid priced at 2.50 each and they stack it with lots of guac and other sauce. Their asada and pastor are delicious. They are also about to do other options like burritos, quesadilla, loader potatoes and etc. It can get pretty packed at night but they work fairly quickly.
LA street Tacos. It's a corner local, north of the 5 fwy Atlantic exit. They are pretty busy. We tried it on a sunday afternoon around 6pm and it had a long line. They open at 5pm. So they have the traditional al pastor trompo and asada, they have grilled sausage and ribs (rib tips). I'm going to say, straight up, the ribs are ok. They are of a dry rub style not traditional American ribs or even Kansas city or southern style ribs. It's just a rib. It not melt of the bone type, or sweat savory. Not what a traditional American style texas, southern or Kansas style ribs; its different. If ordering for 1st time, give it a try and make your own opinion. It comes with tortillas or rice and beans for $15. I would stick to the tacos. The al pastor was ok. They dont use pineapple slices, which some people prefer; I'm one of those "some people ",. To be honest, I really didnt feel or taste anything that stood out. They are super busy do they pro-make thier quesadilla tortillas with cheese and it's not actually fresh made. Its also $3 a taco, which other places that are as good are about $1.50-$2.00. So you decide. I gave it a try but, I've had better in East LA, West, LA and other suburbs of LA. My take.!
