The location looks rundown from the outside, but on the inside, it's OK. There are a few tables for dining in. You have to self order and pay at the kiosk. The order was ready relatively quickly. The online menu prices are incorrect. The prices have increased. For example, one chicken taco is $4.50. The food tastes good. The rice is really good. I would recommend this restaurant. Parking is very limited here.
I found this place on Google Maps, like I find most places to dine when traveling. It's a Hole-In-The-Wall, but what a lovely hole it is! You can't get better Mexican Food in the DC m area if you ask me. It seems that most of their business is carry-out, and rightly so. The dining area is almost non-existent, but don't let that fool you. I had one of their Burrito's (saved it for lunch the next day) because after enjoying the rest of my meal, I couldn't come close to eating that. If I was going to be here longer, I'd be coming back and exploring more of their menu. Their staff is very friendly and take good care of you if you wait for your meal like I did. If you're in this area, this is a must visit place. I'd almost guarantee you that you'll end up being a repeat customer.
I always order their one of a kind burrito steak. Nothing compared to Chipotle. Authentic delicious mexican burrito. Would highly recommend. It’s so simple and easy to order online. Also, the owner is such a wonderful, humble lady. I love this place.
We stopped in for something quick but ended up having a meal. I had the three traditional tacos plate carnitas, Al pastor and steak beans, rice and salad. Nice size meal abt $15. By far Al pastor was the best. My daughter had the steak plate with the same sides abt $20 with three tortillas. It was a big plate and the steak was fairly tender. Complementary chips and salsa also very good. I didn’t expect to spend over $40 but the food was very good. Probably the next time I’ll just do 2-3 tacos.
The food here is soooo good. My first time and it will not be the last. I got five different tacos and they were so good. Seasoned very well. The chicken could use just a little more seasoning but none the less it is enough for me to return and that says a lot as food vlogger. The shrimp quesadilla was some of the best with a lot of shrimp.
Delicious.
Brisket Taco and pupusas were our favorite, but the carnitas taco and taquitos were amazing. We will be back and likely will take the extra effort to grab food
from here. The sauce/salsa bar is also top notch- something for everyone.
Update— The ambiance has slightly improved, and they now have an outdoor seating area. I still think the inside is a bit lacking in comfort. Could use music!
The food was phenomenal. Every. Single. Bite. Unconventional ordering system but easy enough. Truly, amazing food.
Always love their food! I always get the loaded vegetable tacos, which come with actual vegetables (carrots, zucchini, cauliflower, mushrooms) and rice. I got 3 this day and portion sizes are great! Just delicious, and their chips are always nice too! I haven’t tried their meat options, but I’m sure those are good too. Definitely worth a visit! ????
