We stopped for lunch in early April and were able to sit on the indoor/outdoor patio with our Golden Doodle, so definitely dog friendly. The place was very busy but they have a large, hard working, and friendly staff. We enjoyed the chip and salsa as well as our plentiful entrees. Highly recommended.
Probably the busiest Mexican restaurant in Henderson with a local following. Always friendly staff, always good food, enough seating to usually accommodate with newer renovations….A+++ to Marco and his family for the service and keep the quality as expected as this is what sets this place apart!
We love this place. We love there chimiholic. And there shrimp on a beach. And many things we’ve ordered. Tonight however I ordered Birria chimichanga and it was not good to me at all. It wasn’t like any Birria I’ve had (Miranda’s and la plaza) .
I was thoroughly disappointed with my dining experience today. I had heard such good reviews from so many people about this restaurant, I thought that my experience would be the same. Sadly, that wasn't to be the case.
I ordered jalapeño poppers as an appetizer with vegetarian fajitas as an entree.
The complimentary chips and salsa arrived shortly after I placed my order. I waited, because I had ordered an appetizer and I wanted to eat that, not the chips. 5 minutes passed. 10 minutes passed. 15 minutes passed. No appetizer.
The restaurant was filling quickly, and I attributed the delay in my food to the servers being busy. 25 minutes passed, no appetizer.
At the 30 minute mark, half of my entree arrived. I waited another 9 minutes for the other half of my entree, for the sizzling hot part to cool down to almost room temperature before I could even start to assemble a fajita. Still no appetizer in sight.
As an afterthought 5 minutes later, my server brought my appetizer finally... only for the jalapeño poppers to look as if they had been scraped from the deepest bowels of deep fryer hell. To add insult to injury, they had the nerve to be stone cold all the way through.
The vegetarian fajitas were so disappointing, as well. The restaurant put zero thought into creating a vegetarian recipe for fajitas and just threw vegetable together all willy nilly and called it vegetarian. Broccoli, carrots and Cauliflower at no time belong in fajitas.
I paid my bill. I tipped 15%, because I never don't tip. But if ever there was an instance where I wouldn't tip, this would have been the time. I won't ever be back.
This is exactly what I was hoping for when I was searching for tasty, chill, and affordable Mexican food! I had the Burritos Blancos lunch, and for $10, I still took some home. Gracias!
Tacoholics is the real deal. It's a small town U.S.A. so I would think it would be "okay." But it's amazing. The staff is great, the food is great, the ambiance of the place is great. It's in downtown Henderson with an amazing look. I love this place. They also have BBQ in the menu with some of my favorite things. Authentic Mexican food with BBG. This is just a small part of the menu though. I'm sorry I don't have pictures for it, but I was just there tonight and it was great.
I have dined in and carried out, food was excellent, hot, and order was correct. Portion size large. Service with both was timely, staff friendly. Atmosphere busy, a little noisy for my likes but that's just my preference for a quieter dining experience. Overall I highly recommend this place!
This is a great Mexican flavor close to the scenic Ohio River in Henderson, Kentucky. They have a lot of staff working very hard so service is not a problem. The food was great and reasonably priced. They have all of the usual entrees you would expect and a few additional ones. The entire restaurant is very clean and well cared for.
