The staff was very cool and friendly! These guys know what they’re doing when it comes to AUTHENTIC Mexican food! Taco Verde is definitely on my top 3 favorite Mexican restaurants in the Chicago area. 5.5 stars no doubt!
I had a steak taco bowl and the Birria. Everything had me blown away with the amount of flavor each item has. Quality ingredients for sure.
This was actually my second time back this week.. I couldn’t stop thinking about the food since I last ate it. The food, the service, the atmosphere… everything was impeccable. The Stelote burrito and the loaded waffle fries are absolutely delicious. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. You can tell the owners care about excellent customer service and providing fresh, good quality, authentic halal Mexican food. Excited to have found my new go to spot for all my taco and burrito cravings!! 10/10 recommend.

So, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taco Verde in Glenview, Illinois, and let me tell you—it was an experience to remember! From the moment I walked in, I felt like part of the family. What really stood out to me was their commitment to quality and inclusivity. All the meats are Zabiha Halal certified, which is a big win in my book.
Now, let's talk about the food. I dove into the Surf and Turf Burrito, and oh my goodness, it was packed with flavor! The shrimp and steak were perfectly seasoned, and each bite was a delight. And don't even get me started on the Birria Taco—it was like a flavor explosion in my mouth.
But what really sealed the deal for me was the Jalapeno Cheese Fries. Talk about a game-changer! They were the perfect accompaniment to my meal, adding just the right amount of spice.
Overall, Taco Verde isn't just a restaurant—it's a culinary adventure. With its warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and mouthwatering dishes, it's definitely going to be a regular haunt for me. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this gem!
I have had hundreds of birria tacos and this one is the undisputed champ!!! The consomme was rich, with complex flavors that captures the authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine. Owner is extremely friendly and cares about the customers experience.
we stopped by yesterday for their grand opening... we had birria tortas and tried a steak taco... the food has good flavor... especially like the birria and the consome (broth) that makes the meal... it has a very good flavor profile and it's thicker thank normal... will definitely go back! I also like how they package everything in it's individual containers.
Ordered the Elote and Birria pizza for iftar. The meat on the pizza was tender and very flavorful. Kind of reminded me of a nihari pizza. The crust/topping was crisp and light. Came with 2 dipping sauces, but IMO the pizza was flavorful enough to be consumed as is. Very filling, definitely recommend trying this place.
For one the staff is very friendly . Myself and my daughter ordered a birria pizza and a barria taco and steak taco dinner . The food was amazing. The pizza has so much meat and cheese on it and can easily fill up 3-4 people . I really recommend trying this place out. You will not be disappointed. This will be our new taco spot from now on . Thank you taco verde for the great food .
