I just got a door dash delivery and I don’t expect a 5 star meal or anything, just some ok late night tacos and I get this!! the lettuce, tartar, tomatoes, onions and even the cilantro is all fresh!! The fish was to die for!! I’ve been hearing that Taco Star has been getting better.. maybe new ownership? Whatever the case these tacos were amazing! 10-10 from me :)
Asked for a special order which had been ordered before without any issues and they charged us an extra $6 which is ridiculous because their food is mediocre anyways. Then asked for salsa and got the two tiniest containers for the entire meal and THEN when we tried to catch the worker in the window with the long girlish ponytail, he quickly closed the window in our face. Then walked away and ignored our small tap on the window. We have never had such bad customer service like this before. My advice taco star, add a small (SMALL) surcharge if need be but ditch your rude worker if you want to keep any business.
Best taco star I've ever been to, and that's saying something. I mean look at the quality of just the appearance of our plates! Then every single bite has all the flavor evenly distributed too. The gentlemen working here deserve some serious recognition for their attention to detail. And I would like to add that they were actually pretty busy when I went and it came out really fast and so yummy
I don’t know why we were stupid enough to go here. My bother is allergic to avocados and I asked and was told multiple times that there was none. We had an emergency because he took a bite and you can see they just scraped off the avocados and put extra cheese to cover it. These people have to be held responsible. I will call the health department and save the food for them when I make my complaint.
Known for the Asada fries. I beg to differ. I've tried several times now and I keep getting the same result. Frustrating that fries are cold and usually under cooked. The meat is usually the only warm part of the meal if you are lucky. The price for poor food is bad business
Great food. Like, great food. But the consistency of being able to get the things you like is non-existent. Once it hits 5 pm all bets are off on if they will make 60% of their menu. The last few months any time I go, they start off with " we can only make x, y, z, 1, 2, 3" usually asada fries and a few other sides.
I go for the machaca, and in the past I've been able to get it anytime, but lately whenever I go (past 5pm, bc of work) they restrict their menu. As well as this, the last 2 nights they've canceled every attempt at doordashing. I'm sick and I just want a tasty burrito man, please get some steady staffing and figure out the late night confusion.
We had gone through the drive through and we asked for 2 chicken tacos, quesadilla and a drink. After we placed the order we get to the window after 20minutes and had been asked what we had and it seemed like he didn’t even know. We told him again they doubled our order as the guy taking the orders was not able to speak English. (Not a problem) but the problem was we had to have the price changed 4 times and the only person that we could talk to had to keep coming back for clarification, before they could get it right after waiting for 30 minutes. They had already handed us our 1 drink and after all that we said we just wanted to pay for the drink, handed them our card cause we wanted to leave. Their first response was “we already made the food”… first of all we were not going to pay for food that isn’t with us and the terrible service. It took threatening to have cops involved for them to give back the card. Their final response “we will only charge for the drink, and next time don’t order if you’re not going to pay” Don’t recommend what so ever due to terrible service.

First and LAST time we come here. The service was AWFUL. They had no idea what they were talking about. When I ordered I clearly stated what I wanted and they wanted to charge me DOUBLE for what I had ordered when it clearly said on the menu the price was lower. Then I said I didn’t want the food anymore but they had my card cause I said I only wanted to pay for the drink I had already been given and the person at the window asked me why I didn’t want the food and REFUSED to give me my debit card back. I asked for it back several times and was denied my own card back. I had to yell at the person to give it back and he continued to ask me why I didn’t want the food and that “it was already made” so I had to pay for it. First off I don’t have to pay for anything I didn’t want especially when being over charged and second that is my personal property. I had to threaten to call the cops to get my card back. After arguing for a while for my card back the man at the window told us “don’t order stuff you don’t want next time” and slammed the window shut like a dummy. Acting like an immature child throwing a tantrum like a 4 year old. It was so embarrassing for the two men at the window. This happened around 6:20 PM on 12/9/2023. Whoever those men were, grow up and learn some professionalism. I will be taking this complaint to higher up and see what we can do about it.
