Best WLM Reviews
This is some of the best mexican food I've found in Denver. Its not overly spicy and there are extra toppings for you to grab to add to your dish. Reasonable prices. Steak enchilada is pictured.
Come for the champurrado! ☕ I love their posole and street tacos. Cheaper than some other taco spots and just as good if not better. Always expect to wait for your food because they make it when you order - always hot and fresh!
My hubby got the beef tacos and they were tiny.
I got the shrimp tacos. The breading was spiced nicely but undercooked and gooey. I have never had street tacos that don't come with two corn tortillas so you catch everything that falls. I lost a whole shrimp on the floor because the soggy breading made the tortilla fall apart. The shrimp tacos are nearly $7!
All of this I could have excused, but for like 45 minutes after I had this weird metallic taste in my mouth.
Also the floor was very dirty and there was no kind of cover at the salsa bar. The counter girls were wonderful.
Hubby really liked the beef. Just don't go super hungry.
I love street tacos. Sadly we didn't find a new spot.
Wonderful and authentic taqueria, great service, and delicious salsas available at their salsa bar. Highly recommend!!
Drove to this place after reading some reviews for breakfasts burritos. The ordering speaker is broken, so they do ask you to order at the window. Do yourself a favor and look at the menu ahead of time before you drive there. The lady who greeted me at the window was very nice. I ordered a ham breakfast burrito and a chorizo breakfast burrito. She asked if I wanted both salsas on the side. I asked "red and green?" she nodded. So it is not pork green chili like you order on smothered burritos. It's a handheld burrito which is exactly what I was looking for. She helped me when the chip reader was having trouble reading my chip. I can see how some people may think they need to order in Spanish at this location and its mentioned in a lot of other reviews of other places I go to for burritos and menudo, but that's certainly not the case in most places I've been to and wasn't the case here. I asked her about the elote in a cup and she said it "served all day but only in a cup." I'll have to come back and try it. She did have me pull around and wait which I know another review said defeats the purpose of a drive-through. But I really appreciate that my burritos came out very hot and fresh. The one thing that I thought was really unique about this location is that they wrap their burritos in some thin cooking paper and THEN they wrap it in foil, so it was not dry at all. It kept all the heat in and i could still see grill marks on the tortilla which was also soft and had a steamed texture. Maybe you can tell they probably probably prep them ahead of time, but I appreciate the grilled tortilla.. They might just be making them to order too, so you get the tortilla right off the grill which makes it worth the wait. I really appreciate that they use potatoes and not French fries like some other places. The eggs and the cheese certainly made the inside of the burrito squishy and not dry. They used sliced ham, but it is not sliced thin and it was still very flavourful and the the chorizo was cooked to perfection. ❤️ Very flavourful I did not need to use the sauces. The green sauce was very flavourful as well, albeit a little sour or vinegary which happens per batch (I couldn't tell if it was jarred or not I've tasted some with more fresh cilantro in them) and the red salsa was super hot, but also very flavourful. I think I can tell they might be using a little bit of fresh chili in that one. I would love to come back and try the other dishes as well as the daily fresh agua fresca and some of the desserts and the corn, but I think just sit down in the lobby. I'm excited to come back and see what else they have going on and I noticed that some of their pictures were very out of date, so I added two new pictures. They also are one of the only places to serve menudo (or pozole as another review said) every single day. Some places only serve it on the weekends since it takes so long to make.
Searched "best breakfast burrito Aurora" and this place had the best reviews so decided to try. Ordered bacon breakfast burrito. Nice size for $7.99. food tasted great! The girl working cashier was very helpful and very friendly. The dining room definitely could use a make over, especially the booths. Feels like sitting on a big rock. I Definitely recommend this place of you haven't tried it yet.
Ordered online from their website to go. Was told upon arrival they don't use that service anymore. Very confusing. Had to order and wait, cutting down my available lunch break time. Had to rush back to make it within the allotted break.
Food was hot and fresh. The green chili was tasteless. The chile cheese fries, at 9 dollars, were, in general, almost as tasteless. The green chili was bland. The pork appeared spiceless. Fries were fries. I had to ensure I could taste by drinking a sip of coffee. Yes I had taste. Only the chile cheese fries didn't have flavor. When adding the provided hot sauce the dish literally perked and spiced up.
The carnitas tacos were small. Lots of onions. The tomatillo sauce was good.
Overall I was disappointed. The menu is extensive and I will return to try something else. I just can't get over how bland the green chili was. Check them out if in the area. Call and order ahead so there is no wait. Don't order from the website. It doesn't work.
Was looking for a breakfast burrito at 8 am. Found this place. Excellent food, awesome salsa bar, authentic flavors and ingredients. Very clean inside.
