Best tacos in Sarasota!!! Hole in the wall with EXCELLENT food quality, solid portions for the price and fresh made salsas for your tacos. Everything I’ve ever had on their menu has been great and I would order it all again; tacos, birria, burritos, mole, Mexican Pizza! I recommend the carne asada or Al pastor tacos (so good!)
Very Good Gas Station Mexican, this is a place to stop for your Need. Ten different bottled hot sauces, PLUS six homemade options: you know it's legit.
The chimichanga was full flavor, not huge, a solid dinner w/ shared classic nachos.
This might be one of the best kept secrets in all of Sarasota. I was highly anticipating the food because being a truck driver, some of the best foods that I have experienced have been at little dives. This place did not disappoint. 1st off, shout out to the lady in the register in the Red shirt. She ran the place like a bona-fide all-star. No matter how long the line got, she got everyone situated in a timely matter. The food came out hot and fresh. There were many dishes I did not expect to see on the menu. We traveled all the way from Davenport because a friend recommended the place.
Just get Taco Bell or dell taco. Trust me. I ordered steak tacos thinking they would look like the picture. They didn’t. Can’t judge a book by its cover though right? WRONG the “steak” tacos were horrible. I did order through Uber eats and it was still warm though. The flan? Definitely store bought or they just don’t know how to make that either. What a waste of money and time.
At this humble gas station counter you'll find better Mexican and TexMex than in any fancy "Fajitas for Caucasian tourists" restaurant in the area. And at half the price with a better soda selection. Very good posole, too. Why go elsewhere? Do yourself a favor and introduce your family to the glories of gas station tacos. This is the place.
Wow...the food is awesome. I've passed by 1000's of times...finally stopped with a friend. The street taco plate with rice & beans was perfect. You too will be pleased.
I had good hopes for this place and don't get me wrong it was good but not great. The tortillas we're cold buy homemade. There wasn't that much meat on each taco but the salsas were ON POINT. Very tasty and HOT!!! In conclusion, if I was here I'd eat but I wouldn't go out if my way to eat here.
GREAT food, I was shocked. Would have never guessed food of this quality would come out of a rented space in a gas station. Prices are great too. Make sure you try their homemade sauces. Red sauce is outstanding. That's a chimichanga in the picture.
