So this is lowkey a hidden gem, the food is amazing flavorful, and not too expensive.
The young girl who served us was kind and sweet.
The only bad part of it was the decor and the tables felt a tad outdated. Would 100% come back here again! Would 100% recommend!
I came bc it says Tacos ???? De California and California had the best tacos since it’s right next door to Mexico ???????? viva Mexico. The mango piña drink is so good wow all freshly made , I love hole in the wall places. I ordered a burrito and some street ????
A very small restaurant, but so good. I have been here many times, and will continue to return. They make their food quickly, and nothing lacks flavor. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Always customers picking up orders while we are there, so their to go ordering is definitely not lacking. Everything taste fresh and amazing. Great prices.
We were passing through Winter Haven and found this place. It is small but oh my the food is delicious! The servings were plenty. You could have shared your plate. If you're looking for a true authentic California Mexican restaurant, this is it!! Will definitely go back the next time we are there.

I was just stopping by to get agua fresca jamaica as I was doing laundry, but i got the chips and salsa with a shrimp taco and wow! so flavorful and authentic! It’s a hidden gem and so delicious. There’s 4 tables so it’s good for a quick eats. Just take out. High recommend!
Got lunch here for work, the watermelon Aqua Fresca was fresh and delicious went great with the Chimichanga which was nicely fried and crispy the sides of beans and rice were flavorful and savory.
Tonight we visited Taco California after it was recommended by friends....Muy Delicioso! We ordered Queso Enchilada plate with rice and beans $9.99, one Steak taco $1.50, one chicken taco with red marinade $1.50. Chile relleno plate with rice and beans $11.99, and steak quesadilla $8. We had chips with Pico De Gallo and grilled jalapeños. Everything was soooooo good. We were full after eating but already can’t wait to go back to try other things too....maybe....everything was so good.
The restaurant is located in the corner of a strip center and it is very small with just three tables inside. We believe the owner was also our cashier and he was very nice. They have all of the menu items you would expect at a Mexican restaurant and Minch better than most that we have experienced and the prices are great. Drinks are bottled with several Mexican sodas, coco-cola, fruit drinks like smoothies and agua frescas. I seldom give 5 stars and this place earned all five stars based on taste, price and friendliness. There is nothing fancy about this restaurant and that is just fine. They serve breakfast (all day) lunch and dinner and most people who came in got take out. We will be back and probably very soon!
