This is an Italian restaurant that would hold its own with the bestttt- absolute deliciousness every course. We started with the charcuterie board, then had two of the specials- fresh pasta with Italian sausage and friarielli, and a salami piccante, burrata pizza. Utterly delicious. Only to then be followed by the best pistachio tiramisu ever made. Couldn’t recommend the food or the lovely owner more- grazie mille!!!
Old world Italian style. Absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is as if you are in your Italian Grandmas kitchen. I loved the personality of the owner, loved the house wine and the pasta is perfectly al dente! easy to walk too from central city. Thank you for amazing food and conversation!
Delicious and authentic Italian food - congratulations and thank you to the chef and the manager! We loved Retro Gusto so much that we went 2 nights in a row. We will always remember the fantastic service and the pasta - a memorable part of our Bruges weekend.
Really the worst service i have ever experienced in my life stating from the beginning when he said sorry I can’t serve u we are full, yet we had a reservation!!!
Second, i asked for olive oil he told me why do you need it!! This is really unacceptable if i asked for any any thing he should not say that!!
Third, i mistakenly asked and showed him for a dish in other restaurants i was thinking this is his restaurant, he said he have it then showed me aboard with written dishes that was not in the menu. I said great will have it.
When it was served, it was toast bread cheese tomato! So i told him this is not like the picture wondering why he told me this doesn’t belong to his restaurant!! Why from the beginning not saying?
Four-thing, when the order was too late we asked he shout at us saying i give u a table for 3 if don’t want to wait you can leave!!!
and we were 2!!!
Finally, I don’t know he is like that with everyone or because I’m muslim!!

We were looking for vegan veg option for take away on a weekend.
Just went in with no reservation, but we were still attended and a take away of 3 pack of pasta (spegheti with tomato sauce) was ready in 15 mins. The place is expensive and we also got a discount too.
36 euros after discount for 3 pasta...
45 euros original price.
This Italian restaurant is fast food, Italian at best. The sauce was jar sauce, and the shrimp is over cooked by about two minutes. Pizza was unflavorful and watery. The crust wasn’t freshly baked.
The owner and server were kind, but couldn’t make up for the lack of unappealing food. For the price in Bruges, this is a waste. Do your research and make a reservation the day before so you can get into a place that has great food.
Service was a bit off, owners and waitress kept forgetting what we had ordered and we had to wait some time but it wasn’t too much. On the other hand, the food was good, but pasta frutti di mare could be better. Lasagna was really delicious.
"I wonder" ..... My favourite song as well and please do listen to "I think of you". Thank you sir, we had a wonderful evening in your restaurant which we will never forget. We will most certainly return. The food was traditionally good Italian as well as the hospitality. Thank you.
