Charming family restaurant with wonderful food and generous portion sizes. The service was great and will definitelly come back to try the mussles when its available again. As we found out the restaurant is only working with a specific type of mussles that is not available from 1st April until August.
We had stoffpot served in this season together with local red wine. They were tasty and served well with some fries and salad. Vegetarian options are not really much (other than fries and tosti). staff was very helpful. The inside is really cute but go to the room behind, that is much nicer as we saw later.
Always a pleasure to enjoy their spacious terrace ! Friendly staff and reasonable prices for good quality bites and drinks.
We came by to ask whether we could have coffee and were met by two very unfriendly ladies that answered “we will open when we have out coffee”. When we asked what time that would be they continued to be incredibly unfriendly and rude. Another male person started to yell at us as well.
Avoid spending you money there as they don’t seem to want clients. Extremely rude people.
So far I only rewarded this restaurant 3 stars because for the 4th or 5th I have to go back. I was recommended to visit this restaurant to try the mussels. Their speciality. They where not available due to the inferior quality which mother nature gave to them at this moment, because of this they don't want to serve them because of quality control. I personally think this is a good attitude. Will definitely go back! Instead we tried the other house speciality, which was Rabbit in a sweet sauce. All very nice , served with spectacular fresh home made fries, salad and vegetables. As i said, i cant wait to go back for a higher star rating! :-)
Amazing cozy place with good kitchen in the wonderful Kanne, right next to Albert canal. Highly recommend!
