Good cyclist camping. Welcoming and kind owners, old, but clean toilet building with warm shower. Quite camping mostly filled with regulars, I'm the only one on the tent field. Restaurant looks great (firewood oven pizza's), I'll stay another day to rest and try the pizza.
We use this camp site every year during the classic motorcycle racing weekend at Chimay. It's clean and tidy, and nicely situated on the edge of woodland. We also eat at the restaurant every evening during our stay. The staff are friendly and could not be more helpful, and the food cooked in the brick oven is superb. Jean Vincent is a first class host and a great chef. When you see the locals eating at a restaurant, you know it must be good. Very highly recommended.
The campsite is horrible, been there in may 2017. When setting up my tent I was thinking of leaving, but just didn't had the energy to cycle to another campsite. Grass hadn't been mowed for a long time, lots of green flies living there (could not sit outside my tent), nettles in the hedge and grass, some abandoned caravans, etc. The toilet building smelled like someone had been killed there and the body was still lying there. Didn't dare to take a shower, one toilet was kind of usable and not too dirty. No place to do the dishes. Please, do not go camping here and I hope that some kind of instancy will close the campsite.
Agréable découverte, excellente cuisine, le vin bien assorti, dans un environnement superbe, sans oublier un patron sympa ;-)
La sfârșitul lunii august, locul părea în renovare și pustiu. Sunt destul de nedumerita de recenzia de acum o săptămână. Împrejurimile sunt frumoase și liniștite într-adevăr și cred ca restaurantul ar fi un loc plăcut pentru popas.
