Hier gibt es leckere Flammkuchen.das ist eine Besonderheit in Steele. sowas bekommt man sonst nicht in Steele. Preise sind aber gehoben. Die Bedienung mit Tee sollte allerdings verbessert werden. Eine Stoppuhr mit entsprechender Zeit sollte schon bei 2,50€ pro Tasse dabei gestellt werden.
Es ist eher etwas hallenartig, manchmal etwas laut, aber das macht nichts, ich finde es trotzdem gut. Im kufo kann man Kuchen aber auch warmes sowie salate essen. Getränke, von Tee über verschiedene kaffee's, kalte Getränke aber auch alkoholisches. Der Raum gibt auch Platz für kleine und große Kunstwerke, die meist im kufo gemalt werden. In den restlichen Räumen wird, gesungen, musiziert, gebastelt, gemalt und viele andere Dinge, das wird in einem Heft angeboten. KLASSE!!!

Einfaches aber gemütliches Ambiente mit interessanten Speisen, die es so woanders nicht häufig bis gar nicht gibt. Der Service ist meist gut, eine Servicemitarbeiterin ist leider nicht ganz so auf Zack. Aber grundsätzlich ist das Kufo immer einen Besuch wert. Besonders gut für Vegetarier geeignet. Die Preise sind okay.
Komplett verdreckter Platz, Salat sah aus und schmeckte als sei er vom Vortag. Das ganze Essen verdiente als Prädikat das Gegenteil von frisch. Minderwertige Speisen bei denen nur die Preise hohes Niveau haben. Der stetige Abstieg des Kufos ist beendet, der Tiefpunkt erreicht. Schade.
Fast 3€ für eine sehr kleine Tasse Tee. Die Bedienung war sehr, sehr, sehr langsam. Wir haben ewig gewartet um zu bezahlen, erst auf Nachfrage erschien der Kellner. Das war schon mal besser.
Unser regelmäßiger Treffpunkt zum Canasta spielen. Angenehme Atmosphäre, leckere Speisen und überhaupt eine tolle Location. Freundliches und vor allem unaufdringliches Personal. Es kommt öfter vor, dass wir die letzten sind, wurden aber noch nie herauskomplimentiert oder ähnliches.
Bis vor ein paar Jahren sind wir sehr gern hier zum Frühstück oder Abendessen hingegangen. Allerdings hat dann wohl der Besitzer gewechselt und das Frühstück wurde verändert - weniger bzw günstigere Zutaten und höhere Preise. Zudem sind die Servicekräfte nicht gut ausgebildet. Personalengpässe gab es bei fast jedem Besuch und die anwesenden Servicekräfte waren überfordert. Die Krönung war, als ich den Besitzer gesehen habe, wie er beim Discounter den günstigsten Sack Fisch in größerer Menge gekauft und (bei 35 Grad Außentemperatur) in den Kofferraum seiner dicken Karre geworfen hat und zum Restaurant gefahren ist (da ich den gleichen Weg hatte, fuhr ich hinter ihm). Ob der Fisch für das Restaurant Die Vermutung lag Nahe, dass der Fisch in dieser Menge für sein Restaurant ist, weil dort Nachschub benötigt wurde. An sich kein Proble, aber: Die Preise sind dann allerdings erheblich zu hoch, man müsste eigentlich von sehr guter Ware ausgehen die da verarbeitet wird und nicht von Discounter-Seelachs. Alles in allem haben wir dann aufgehört hinzugehen, wie auch einige unserer Freunde.
Es wäre schön, wenn die Stadt Essen dieses Gebäude und das Café erhalten würde. Hier kann man nämlich lecker Schockmok trinken und leckeres Essen in netter Atmosphäre genießen. Besonders mag ich dort frühstücken.
