Best WLM Reviews
I have used Reeds on and off for a good few years now. It isn't my nominated pharmacy as another is more convenient however I will often use Reeds for items I can not get at my usual pharmacy as they often carry the more difficult to get hold off medications.
I see a lot of people complaining about waiting, length of time it takes to get their medication and it irks me because there seems to be a complete lack of understanding about how prescriptions and medicines are dispensed and also the sheer amount of scripts that are now going through local pharmacies. It is not as simple as just “hiring more people”
I have worked in a pharmacy and I can tell you it was one of the most stressful jobs in terms of workload. Loading a computer up to find up to 500 new prescriptions arriving and add ontop of that the amount of ‘walk-in’ or acute prescriptions that are required has increased. One pharmacy closing in the city hasn't helped. Each script needs to be checked, printed, picked, checked and then dispensed. The NHS minimum staffing levels have not helped to allow pharmacies to have one dispenser and one pharmacist servicing the pharmacy means that yes sometimes the phone may be ignored or there will be a wait to get your medication, sadly that is the state of the NHS these days, overworked and underfunded and servicing an ever-increasing population and an ever-increasing demand.
I think the staff do a fantastic job and some of the abuse I have heard from patients is absolutely disgusting.
I also read a review about the “tall, balding pharmacist” being rude, smug and arrogant which is totally incorrect, he is efficient, well mannered and very knowledgeable and sometimes if he is being perceived as being rude; he may well just be mirroring the attitude of the person speaking to him.
Keep up the good work guys, it's not easy.
Absolutely terrible service arrived for pre book 2 x Hep B jab, waited for 40mins, travelling 1hr round trip, to be told they had gone home early.
Never answer the phone. Very frustrating and then when I got to collect its always a long wait
Staff always very helpful, five stars for them⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.... only criticism is if you you try to telephone it's almost impossible to speak to anyone as no matter what time of day it's a message saying they're too busy and then the phone cuts off..????..
Always busy but the staff try very hard and are really good.
Just try getting hold of this lot on the phone when you need to check if a prescription is ready. Apparently it's impossible, so an embarrassingly poor service. I'd give zero stars if I could.
Very badly organised imho and not enough staff (& far too slow). Completed prescriptions ready for collection seem to be jumbled up and spread across the floor haphazardly. Assistants do their best in difficult circumstances, but the balding gentleman doing the dispensing comes across to me as arrogant, smug, unhelpful and very casual. He sees the queues building up, and appears to look on with indifference. Avoid if you can.
.
Very busy as are most pharmacies in Truro but good helpful staff. Booked an appointment for yellow fever vaccine- very professional service!
