Had a recent visit with my son here and it was amazing! Bianca was very kind for us to be arranged to see the nurse even if we didn’t have an appointment. Also, she was kind and suggested to us to register my son so we don’t have to pay for the doctor’s fee. Ka pai!
Hi have been trying to get an appointment here for ages. I emailed and phoned with no response eventually I got hold of a very unfriendly receptionist. She came across as uncaring which I would not expect from a professional practice. After my son had a fever for 4 days I called and was told they could only help in a weeks time. I was never told that if there were any cancelation they would let me know. I changed doctors after this event because I feel Pokeno is has too many patients and not enough doctors.
This has to be among the very worst practices I have ever had the displeasure of being subjected to. Primarily I am referring to the administration; They are unprofessional and rude, which I can forgive as this is typical for receptionists. Beyond this, however, their lack of communication baffles and frustrates me to no end. They will cancel your appointment with no notice because they deem your reasons not good enough to warrant an appointment, based solely on extrapolations that put conspiracy theorists to shame. They Will Not tell you that a prescription costs $27, they will reject your CSC and charge you $48 dollars for an appointment, with no explanation leaving you and WINZ confused. Being a disabled patient at this practice is a severe financial liability, and not a risk worth taking.
Their sole morsel of credit that I will allow them is that Dr. Robert Pome'e is as nice a doctor as you could wish for. May he find joy and prosperity at a better practice in the future.
If you guys feeling not good &if you not registered with them they not allow to see gp ....gp is fully booked....and walking patience have no value because they didn't paid for appointment.... very rude in this profession...
if google will allow me for negative star, happy to give, they will charge for collecting reports from doctor and also reception bad service, no proper response. Without appointment/ emergency also doesn’t care about patient
Impressed with the student nurse and the doctors. I was feeling anxious especially because nurses can be cold but the student nurse made me feel very comfortable. The doctor was helpful and kind. The receptionist was not very helpful.
Called twice and held on for a long time without any answer. Sent an email to make an appointment, but was fully booked for over 2 working days ahead, so took the first available date. Waited for over 30min in waiting room with a 2month old unwell baby. Didn't even know which Dr I'll be seeing. This used to be one of the best medical practices, but since a lot of Drs and Nurses left, it went backwards. Very disappointing for our Pōkeno community.
There are 3 main reasons we have left this surgery;
1. Front of house, receptionist unfriendly unhelpful and just not the kind of staff member for the position.
2. Can't have adult appointment after 2pm as after 2 are for children only????♀️ as per receptionist Thursday 15th Sept.
3. Doctors and nurses keep changing no consistency, having to explain in a few minutes ur history just cant happen so they give u things to cover or mask symptoms is not good enough.
When we moved from our last practice all the staff were wonderful, but all staff have have changed over the last 12months????.
