Taking advantage of not having any competition in the area. Took my car to the workshop 2 weeks ago and mechanic told me that he will charge me $50 to diagnose the problem which I paid. Then he asked me to come back again after 2 weeks. When I went in there yesterday mechanic told me to come back in the afternoon and he will call me to confirm the charges from me to fix the problem before replacing any part. It was an engine problem so i said no and mehcnaic told me that they have spent another hour to diagnose the problem so now again I have to pay another $106 which he should have told me when I brought the car at the workshop. When I said no to paying the $106 he refused to give me the key.
Been living in the county from more than 10 years and not one mechanic charged a single cent before telling up front about the cost. Absolutely ripp off
Edit :- language barrier is just a lie again because the mechanic speaks the same language as me. Nothing was explained in the first place about the charges. Only thing was said that you will check the car and call me about the cost. Nothing was mentioned about second time diagnose. Cmon dude it was a lamborghini it was just a small Nissan March that you had to diagnose twice to find the fault.
