I Got My Nails Done Less Than A Week Ago And Paid 125$. Honestly I don’t know where to start it’s the fact that my nails were different shapes and not even the same length my left side was terrible and my right side looked decent somewhat but then the same night I went to get something out my dresser and my pinky nail popped off as if I had my nails done for weeks and when it popped of it didn’t even hurt. Now I’ve had my nails longer than this and every set lasts me 3 weeks so it’s not even the fact that my nails were long I wouldn’t come back to this place personally my worst experience yet.
This place deserves no star. First of all, the lady doing my nails gives me attitude. There is no such thing as customer service in this place. The lady gave me attitude when I said that I wanted my nails shorter. The whole experience was horrible, horrible. Do not recommend anyone to go to this place.
I went here because the place I normally go to was closing and I needed my nails done because I was going home for the holiday that next day. The ladies were very nice I must add. The only thing is that i got an overlay over my nails and when they were done it looked like I needed a fill in; which in case that made my nails look like they hadn't been done in weeks. My mother got a gel set and about four days later the polish on 3 finger nails peeled off. The only reason I am giving them 3 stars is because they were nice, but I wouldn't go back.
Never go here again. I cant believe how a gel manicure doesn't last for not even one week here. I spoke with the owner. She told me to go in and she would fix it. She put a layer of color and clear gel coat as to seam off the paint and the cracks and chips at 1130 am at 450pm, I called her to tell her, the nails were still chipping and cracking and she said she could not fix again. Had they done it the right way the first time, I would not be on this site giving a horrible review.
Even though it depends on who does your nails, waxing etc. the owner of Pinky Nails and the people who work there are pretty good, especially for the price. A mani, pedi and eyebrow waxing is only $40 from Mondays thru Thursdays. The place is always clean and they have massage chairs.
Since Covid 19 an appointment is requested. Your temperature is taken and you're asked to write down your name and phone number. They have plastic/fiber glass partitions and masks are mandatory. The people are friendly and courteous, and the equipment is sterilized.
I don't know a better place for the price.
Good for manicure and pedicure. They do have waxing services - eyebrows and other parts etc. They take card with a fee but prefer cash as the machine is usually down.
Best nail place in the Bronx! I've been going here for years. They always accommodate me. And their work is super. Everywhere else I go my nails chip the same or next day. Not at Pinky's! I get 2 weeks minimum out of my gel and that's a lot considering I have four kids and I do all the housework and I also work in a hospital where I am constantly washing my hands. They use quality products.
I Don't RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO ANYONE WHO WANTS THEIR NAILS! I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!! I came here and there service was horrible. I had a gel sculpture at a different nail salon but decided to get a fill in here at a local nail salon. The nail technician filed my nail and the gel all the way down until my natural nail started to bend. I told her that she was filing it too much and that she was hurting me but she just ignored. When she was finished with my nails they were lumpy and sore from her over filing them. Unfortunately I was late for a important meeting I had to go to so I tried to put up with the soreness and pain. But after 3 days of my nails bending and the excruciating pain my fingers were in I decided to come back and have her fix her mistakes. When I came back she denied that she over filed them and claimed that my nails are just thin. But I know my nails and I have gotten my nails done before I know the thickness of my nails and I know the difference between my nails and when someone files them too much to the point that they arw thin and bend. If uou want thin, bendy, lumpy nails that are painful and damaged come here. But if you don't I recommend you go to another nail salon.
