What a nice place! The meatballs in cherry and beer sauce were great. People rave about the Belgian fries, and I've tried so many, and hadn't been too impressed, but the fries that came with this meal were nice indeed! (Would have appreciated a bit more of the amazing side salad in exchange for fewer meatballs and fries – the portion is very filling!)
Pleasant lunch, in a tranquil place (not packed with tourists). The food was delicious, and the owner who served us was very friendly.
We didn't book but the owner kindly found us a table. Chefs special croquettes were amazing, followed by two great mains dishes! Then the chefs special speculoos dessert which was equally as great. Really cute cozy setting too! Price matched the food.
We took the dryed aged entrecote, was very delicious and was a big portion. But beside the delicious food, the atmosphere in the restaurant is causy and warm. Perfect for a nice dinner out with your partner.
We stumbled across ONE on our last night in Bruges, right near the Lake of Love. It looked so cosy and inviting when peering through the windows, with velvet booths and welcoming fires - thankfully they could fit us in for dinner (highly recommend you book in advance).
The restaurant is family run and the food is all made from scratch using local ingredients and plenty of love.
My husband is still raving about the delicious, rich, Felmish Stew which comes with a serving of their hand peeled and cut Belgian fries. He said it's the best he's ever had!
Desserts were also fabulous - we had the flambé apple tarte, flamed at your table, and the Speculoos cake.
They also have an outdoor terrace which looked like it was being renovated but the photos in summer look lovely.
Highly recommend adding this restaurant to your list.

Food was ok, good but nothing special!
A lovely little family-run restaurant with traditional Flemish meals, cozy atmosphere and an accommodating host. I had a steak tartare with fries, which is quite an unusual combination where I'm from (Czechia), but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Visited this April.
Incredible food, handcrafted, made to order on the day. Fresh ingredients, kind service, wonderful atmosphere and beautiful restaurant. If you value quality in food and try local Belgian cuisine you should come here.
