Quick Facts About Newtown Nails

Newtown Nails has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one of the positive aspects is that customers have been able to make appointments on the same day, at least during weekdays. This indicates that the salon is responsive to customers' needs and can accommodate last-minute requests. Additionally, the staff members seem to be detail-oriented and provide a friendly experience. Customers have mentioned that they were not rushed during their appointment and that the employees were attentive to their needs. The professionalism and expertise of the salon are also praised, with one customer mentioning that they drive a long distance just to have their nails done there. This indicates that Newtown Nails has a strong reputation for providing high-quality services.
Furthermore, the physical environment of Newtown Nails is appreciated by many customers. The salon is described as clean, comfortable, and aligned with professionalism. The spa-like ambience is mentioned as a positive aspect, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The adherence to Covid protocols is also highlighted, which is important in ensuring the safety and well-being of both staff and customers.
On the other hand, there are also some weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One recurring issue is the absence of dryers. Several customers have mentioned that the salon removed the dryers during the Covid-19 pandemic, and as a result, they had to sit and wait for their nails to dry. This inconvenience is a significant drawback, as it prolongs the time spent at the salon and can be uncomfortable for customers. Some customers have suggested that the salon should provide small fans or other drying methods to improve the experience. Additionally, the absence of saran wrap to prevent smudging of nails is seen as a deficiency in the service provided.
Another weakness mentioned is the lack of friendliness from some staff members. One customer specifically described their interaction with a nail technician as "nasty and rude." This negative experience can greatly impact customer satisfaction and may discourage them from returning to the salon. It is essential for Newtown Nails to address this issue by ensuring that all staff members uphold a friendly and professional demeanor towards customers.
Lastly, one commenter mentioned that while Newtown Nails may not have the friendliest environment, they do provide a great service. While this may be seen as a strength in terms of the quality of the nail services provided, it also indicates a potential weakness in terms of customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Friendliness and customer service are crucial aspects of running a successful nail salon, and Newtown Nails may need to work on improving in this area.
In conclusion, Newtown Nails has strengths such as the ability to accommodate same-day appointments, detail-oriented and friendly staff, a clean and comfortable environment, and a reputation for providing high-quality services. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, including the absence of dryers, inconsistent friendliness from staff members, and a lack of focus on creating a welcoming environment. By addressing these weaknesses, Newtown Nails can further enhance the overall customer experience and solidify its position as a top-notch nail salon.

I was able to make an appointment, same day, although this was on a Wednesday night so I can't say the same if it was over the weekend. Was able to get a pedicure for myself and my daughter. They do not have dryers anymore so we just sat at in the massage chairs for 10 minutes before leaving. They did not rush us at all, which was nice since it was about an hour before closing. FYI tips are cash only and you cannot add it to your card at the end, so I'd advise you bring cash with you for tips!
My mom and I went here for my birthday. I got a dip mani ($40) and my mom got a get mani ($35). We had an amazing experience! Everyone was really friendly and they were very detail oriented.
I went here on my break from work in the area. I was so nervous with coming here, but I’m glad I did. Loved my experience with Lynn! She understood the assignment lol
I am new to the area and this is the closest nail salon to my home so I figured I'd give it a try. I went in for a pedicure. The massage chair didn't work, and the lady who did my nails wasn't friendly at all. Then when she was finished she just walked away, I asked where I should go to dry and the guy who works there said "we don't have dryers, we took them out during covid" so I asked him "do I just sit here?" Then a nail technician snapped at me "JUST SIT THERE AND DRY, We'll give you oil if you want it" so so nasty and rude! They could at least have small fans to dry their Clients nails! I had to sit there for 20 minutes, then walk around and ask for oil, no saran wrap either to wrap your toes so they dont smudge. They did do a good job but I'll take my business elsewhere next time.
These professionals can do nails! I drive 35 miles to this place. It’s clean, professionally aligned, and very comfortable—giving you that spa feeling we all desire on outings like this. Awesome place! The work is impeccable—and you will notice the difference! —Go there so that you can leave blushing as well. I look forward to my appointments.

My mom and I have been coming in every 3 weeks for years and have never had a bad experience! The owner, Kim, is very professional and gives the best pedis! Her team is very friendly and accommodating. The salon is always clean and they are adhering to all Covid protocols. Make an appointment if you need anything done on a Saturday... especially with Covid. Highly recommend!
My mom and I have been going to Newtown Nails for years. It’s always a great experience. Kim is a pro and never disappoints! Thank you Newtown Nails!
While Newtown Nails is not an overwhelmingly friendly environment, it's very comfortable and clean. At the end of the day, I'm paying for a service & they do a great job. I've never had an issue with prices changing. (Gel manicures, pedicures).
