If you want a professional job done and to get what you pay for I DO NOT recommend Melissa Subia the owner of A Look Within Studios. I came in last Fri 3/10 for a root bleach, vivid colors,haircut and tinsel. Some parts of my hair the bleach didn't even get put on my roots,I had many spots where the color didn't cover the bleach,the tinsel fell out in 15mins of leaving,the tinsel was longer than my hair,my haircut was completely uneven she kept me sitting and never had me look down during my cut. She let me leave with color all over my face,head,neck and ears. The color wasnt even completely washed out. It was AWFUL and once I noticed I cried. She made excuses and offered to fix it which I refused because I was not comfortable returning nor did I have time or want to use my gas or pay a sitter again. I asked for a refund and she finally sends me $80 of the $200 after I had to continuously text her telling her I have not received the refund. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Not to mention the filthy shampoo bowl that was never cleaned between clients,tattoos being done next to shampoo bowls and hair stations. That's infection central. I believe she knew what she was doing when she did what she did and honestly I do feel scammed. I feel like she thought I was a naive white girl that wouldn't catch all this. ????

Melissa and her team are the best. I absolutely love my hair cut and coloring! Every time I go it gets better! Everyone is really nice, professional and they listen to exactly what you want. Best experience in a salon I've ever had and I can't wait to come back!
